Do not go!
by Ksut at Citysearch
Brought our dog their a while ago and the receptionist was so rude. She instantly grabbed our dog and brought her back, didn't listen when we asked them not to cut around her face at all and just wanted to get rid of us. The groomer seemed o.k. When we picked up our little girl she was shaved and hardly had any hair around he face. The salon itself was a mess. If you care at all about your dog DO NOT go.
- Cons: Horrible customer service
I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I brought my four year old golden retriever to Sparky's to get a bath and her nails clipped. She often gets ear infections and I was concerned that the groomer would get water in her ears while washing her. After explaining this to the lady at the front desk, she assured me that would not happen and she even went as far to inform the groomer to put cottonballs in my dogs ears and flush them out with ear cleaner immediately after she was bathed. Thank you Sparky's you did a great job!!!! Also a special thanks to Kenya for being so welcoming and understanding to my needs. We'll be returning soon!
Best pet grooming in LA
by thebeat1984 at Citysearch
I have been taking my Pomeranian Priscilla to Sparky's on La Brea for over 2 years now. The entire staff has always treated my dog and I with the utmost respect and friendliness. I love the fact that I can drop Priscilla off at 9am on a Saturday and have her back by 1130 or 12 ... still leaving me with an entire day. My dog always comes back to me looking clean, cute and relaxed. Thanks Sparky's -- you guys really are the best.
- Pros: Great service and gromming.
- Cons: Nothing really -- just make sure to bring quarters for the meters.

Best Pet Grooming

My dog and I love Sparky's. A friend from work referred me to their La Brea location. It was perfect timing for me. I was so tired of the current groomer's in this city. They would make me drop my Yorkie off at 8am and keep him until 5pm. This was very stressful for my dog. I love the fact that my dog Hummer can be dropped off at 10am and picked up by 12 ish. They are all very friendly and professional. It's nice when I call for an appointment that they know us. It is very hard to find personalized service in this big crazy city! Luis has been groomeing my Yorkie for over a year now. He is great! Even when I want to cut Hummer's hair too short he does it. I always love the way my dog looks when he is finished. I will never go to another groomer again. I highly recommend Sparky's to all! Carlye Mata
- Pros: The turn around time
- Cons: No Cons for me!
Best Groomer
by AubreyMarie at Citysearch
Sparky's is GREAT!! I started out with a referral to the one in Beverly Hills and now go to the Le Brea location, which is great also. I have a chow who has been difficult for groomers at times because he hates water and is a bit tempremental. They have never had problems drying him or handling him at all and do an excellent job on his lion cut!!! Sparky's manager is very friendly and professional as well as the staff. I highly recommend them to anyone!!!

It's hard to find people you trust in LA, even groomers! I've made the mistake of going to Petco/Petsmart a few too many times. Luckily I stumbled upon Sparky's on La Brea. Not only is the location super convenient for all us Miracle Mile dog lovers, but the staff is super friendly, professional, and just darn good. Bring your pet here, you won't be sorry!
Way to GROOM Sparyky's!!!

Thank you Patrick and Luis!
You guys are the best, my beagle BOOGER and my jr terrier have never been happier. It was quite the drive to get to you but I hope you open a location in the Inland Empire soon. The dogs looked their very best and the service was excellent.
Open more locations!
- Pros: Best grooming experience my dogs have ever had!
- Cons: Need more locaitons!
Bad Grooming
by sarahanne33 at Citysearch
I recently took my dog the Sparky's dog grooming on Olympic Blvd in Beverly Hills. I asked for a haircut and to keep the hair on top that I had grown out. They suggested some type of haircut that they said would look great. When I picked him up and took him home, I noticed that he was very upset. Whenever I picked him up from my usual groomer he was always so happy. Not only was he upset but he looked terrible and he looked dirty still. I know what my dogs hair looks like when It's washed and it wasn't. When I called them they said they washed him and it was too bad about the haircut. They said I would just have to wait for it to grow out. I would think they would want me to be happy and offer to re-cut his hair. I usually take him to get groomed at Tailwaggers in Hollywood. They are the best and I don't care how far I have to drive, I will always go there. If you want your dog to be treated well and look good, take them to Tailwaggers. Don't go to Sparky's.
- Pros: Close
- Cons: terrible servicce
Beware of Caesar in Santa Monica
by billoo at Citysearch
Beware, Caesar in Santa Monica does not follow specific grooming instructions given to him. I specifically gave instructions for him not to touch my dog's head, ears and tail...all the dog has left is his tail. It took us several months to grow out Caesar's original cut and I was shocked and disappointed. When I addressed his lack of consideration for very clear verbal and written directions, he told me he didn't care that I was unhappy, that he had more than enough customers without my two dogs.
All of this occurred after it took Caesar two hours to show up for the appointment because I was told he was enroute on the bus.
So, not professional or considerate or polite.
- Cons: Doesn't follow specific grooming instructions; very poor customer service
