Great for a special event or just for an evening out
by Zanie at Citysearch
My theatre had a special event at the Larchmont Grill. The entire night was amazing. The owners went out of there way to accommodate us. The food was wonderful. All the guests raved all night long. The ambiance was just as wonderful as the food. We recommend this place to everyone. I have been back a few time and will keep coming back.
- Pros: ambiance - food
- Cons: nothing
Loved Everything!

I have always loved old Craftman homes and the restaurant did an amazing job. The Hollywood Hills view from the outside 2nd floor patio is gorgeous. Loved the pasta.
- Pros: Great food, loved the restaurant.
Comfy, Stylish with Fabulous Food & Outstanding Wine
by womanontheverge at Citysearch
The style of this Craftsman home is relaxed and refreshingly cozy, which makes the service, the wine selection and the food even more appetizing yet unpretentious which isn't and easy thing to pull off in LA. The menu is diverse and delisious. The Tuesday Wine night is great fun and a creative way to try new different wine choices. There isn't much more to say, but I wish they were open on Monday nights.
- Pros: Wonderful Wine, Best Tuna Tartar, Great Service
- Cons: Wish they had live music to match the ambiance.
Thank you Larchmont Grill, you got it RIGHT!

I thought I had left a review here before, but can't seem to find it now so I will leave another. This place is a special treat for my boyfriend and I. We come here when we want to celebrate, or just to say I love you and you deserve this. We have never not been accommodated, or treated badly, and the waiters and waitresses are superbly knowledgeable and helpful on those nail biting dinner decisions. The owner and manager is very personable and open as is the staff. I look forward to their sincere greetings every time we go there. My boyfriend and I always order their Mac n Cheese, and let me tell you, I am a real critic when it comes to that. It's terrific to say the least. Bland is not a word one can use when describing any of their entrees, believe me, I've been working my way down the menu. Their chicken dishes are resplendent with flavor, their steaks are juicy and best in choice cuts. They have a Kobe Beef Burger and seasoned fries to die for. If you're looking for a Salad, Pasta, of Vegetarian fare, they've covered you there as well. Their vegetables are crisp and not smothered in butter, which I appreciate. Everything is fresh, (I don't know if they shop local, but it wouldn't surprise me). Another tip, don't sleep on their wine menu. They've got some excellent choices to offer. In closing I cannot speak highly enough of this cozy, refined, and elegant establishment. I heard a rumor they were considering booths -- please don't. You're perfect just the way you are. :)
- Pros: Sincere service, flavor infused food, lovely atmosphere
- Cons: absolutely NOTHING

Adventure Fullfilled

It was my wife's birthday and I was searching for a place that we've never been, something with class and character. I found this restaurant in a neighborhood gems section of another search engine.
The service was impeccable and unsurpassable. The choices on the menu were so tantalizing that it was hard to choose just one thing to eat. They were attentive to my wife including printing her name on the menu (Happy Birthday Sharon) and providing a personalized dessert plate as well.
The wine list was small but had an excellent selection. We chose an unusual Shiraz that was excellent. I had the Rib Eye steak, it was perfect. The Cesar Salad was unusual and tasty. The desserts divine.
I can't think of any criticisms. Thanks Larchmont Grill, we'll be back.
Excellent customer service!

I love this restaurant! Everyone in my office goes here when we have business lunches. Everything I've had here is great! I love the Spa menu. It was so much food and I didn't feel guilty about eating it all. I love the chicken & brown rice dish. It sounds so boring and I only ordered it because it sounded "Healthy" . I was amazed at how good healthy could taste. Their desserts are fabulous as well. They change them regularly. I've had the chocolate bread pudding (to die for) and also the carrot cake (Love it). The service is also amazing. I had my Birthday dinner there and they took such good care of us. They put us up stairs on the balcony. We had the whole place to our selves and our own waiter. Who was amazing! He actually ran to the store for us. I really can't say enough about how great the owners and all of the staff are. All of my friends were so impressed and love it so much that we are all going back.
- Pros: Great service, food and ambience.
- Cons: None
You have to try the calamari appetizer

You must find the time to visit this restaurant!!!
What make it so special is not only the variety and tastiness of its food, but the service. The aim, as we see it, of this restaurant , is to provide a family type environment with warmth and home style cooking. What takes this eatery to the next level is the pleasant addition and tastes of California style cooking. They go out to their way to provide an interesting menu that will bring you back, even if the fireplace isn't burning.
We're extremely satisfied customers who aren't afraid to recommend Larchmont Grill to family and friends.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: none
Ask for Cory!
by Jessicat89 at Citysearch
My family and I went the the Larchmont on the night of our arrival in L.A after three weeks of traveling through Europe and New York, and it was the best dining experience we've had the whole trip. We had made a reservation so we were seated straight away, on the balcony outside. It is not a large place and you couldn't have fit any more than the seven tables on the balcony, but the soft lighting and attractive but minimal decor made the area seems spacious and our space very intimate and secluded. Our waiter, Cory, was the friendliest, most helpful waiter we've had, and even though he accidentally knocked a Coke into my lap, he made it impossible to be upset - it was a fun night with his familiar and eager-to-please attitude. He went out of his way to make the spill up to me, bringing complimentary dessert at the end of the meal and chatting to us long after our meal was over about must-see attractions in LA and the less touristy places to visit.
Tired, and prepared to eat anywhere after our long flight, I believed I had "settled" by going to a grill... the name conjures images of Ranch themes and barbecue sauce, but the food was divine. I am no expert critic, but we all know what we like, and it was all drenched in flavors that matched each other perfectly. I played it safe, ordering the pan seared chicken with vegetables, but even a dish that has such potential to be boring made my taste buds buzz. Plus, all the meals were very reasonably priced.
The Larchmont is a great experience for couples, families and groups of friends - all of whom we saw dining and seemingly having a similarly wonderful experience as we did.
- Pros: The service, the food and the atmosphere.
- Cons: The Coke in my lap! But I doubt this a regular feature of the restaurant....
Wonderful service and presentation.

We had one evening in L.A.(live on Long Island) and wanted our restaurant experience to be the best possible. We had heard excellent things about LARCHMONT GRILL, and my wife and I went with our son and his partner, and our expectations were more than fulfilled. My shrimp pasta was superb, and a mac and cheese appetizer was richly delicious. Our meals were topped off with a shared pear tart that was a masterpiece in both taste and presentation. The service was flawless and the tone was relaxed and competent. We highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely return when next in Los Angeles.
- Pros: Presentation, service, value.
- Cons: None were apparent.
