Eyebrows and Eyelashes

Gina Veltri does my eyebrows and eyelashes. It is such a treat to have an appointment with her. She is so professional, respectful, does a great job and makes you feel like a million dollars. It is well worth the time and energy making the drive to the appointment.

Love this place!!!

I have been going to this salon since my amazing colorist Dani H moved there a few years ago. A funky and professional arritude abounds...and it is fun to be a part of the fashion world energy that is a big part of the atmosphere. I can't say enough good things about Dani...he is kind, incredibly talented, and always makes time for you. I never feel rushed and have been thrilled with my blond locks since I started seeing him. I always look forward to my visit and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Alex is amazing

I see lots of complaints about Byron. So go to Alex! He is an artist but with an edge that won't overwhelm you. We talked about where I want my hair to be not what he wants to do with it. On top of it, he is a lovely, lovely person. I love my hair and I can't wait to see where Alex takes it in the next year!

Bad wig wearing hairdresser

Byron Williams smells like he hasn't taken a shower in days. He wears a bad wig, has a bad attitude , and gives a bad hair cut. Not worth the time or the money.The salon staff is rude, the place is a a mess, totally disgusting.

Amazing Experience

I got my hair cut by Byron Williams this weekend and I have to say it was the most AMAZING experience. He is a true artist. Before my visit my hair was nothing special, just normal... since I left I cant tell you how many people have stopped me to ask where I get my hair done. Byron made me look so great and gave me a cut that really works with my features and my life. He is also so sweet and the salon is gorgeous! I highly recommend him.

DO NOT LET BYRON CUT YOUR HAIR!

How this guy has made it this far is beyond me! He is one of the worst hair cutters I have ever experienced. Not only was my hair butchered but he was rude, void of personality and stunk (as in physically smells). I cried for days over my uneven, frizzed out from the razor haircut. The only bright spots of my experience was the lovely receptionist named Jamey and one of the kindest, most talented makeup artist I have ever had do my makeup. Gina Veltri is a true pro - too good for this sloppy place. Her talent and demeanor almost made up for awful experience with Byron williams. I'd highly reccommend going there for Gina and nothing else.

BAD ATTITUDE

A friend has great hair so I decided to visit Byron. Waited for over a half hour to see him and once in his chair he barely said 15 words to me the entire time. Not even, Hello? How are you? Nice to meet you? He seemed like he could not wait to get me out of the salon. When cutting hair near my face, his hands stunk like stale smoke since he was chain smoking on the porch every time he took a break! I will give him the benefit of the doubt and think maybe he was having a bad day or a death in the family, but for $150/haircut a TINY BIT of hospitality would have been nice! Um, he did offer me some water. Plus, the cut wasn't even that bloody great.

Too big for his (tiny) britches

Byron is waaaay too impressed with himself, an unattractive quality that got worse shortly after he opened his new shop a couple of years ago.

The second time he kept me waiting for over 1.5 hours (that's right, 1.5 hours!), but before he got to me, something that looked like it wouldn't happen for another 1/2 hour, I decided to head on out to find a happier place on earth. Byron's behavior was so disrespectful that day, more than on prior occasions, that his receptionist called me to apologize.

And, yes, despite his screw-ups, he charges for re-cuts. Here's how it works: A few days after your cut, you notice all is not well. You call for a re-cut appointment and are told he can't see you for 2 weeks. At the appointment he tells you that of course you must pay again, as it's been 2 weeks since it was first cut, and you should have come in right away. Oh, well.

I found a wonderful salon, Maxim, on Rodeo Dr., with an owner and staff that couldn't be nicer. Corey cuts my hair now.

Posh enough for stars, personal enough for me

I must admit, I've been going to Byron forever. I've seen him grow into one of the preeminent stylists in the country- now with his own haircare product line. I like his do's though because he has a designer's mind. He envisions what you are hoping to achieve and, for me, he always seems to achieve it. The scene is pretty fun as well. Huge space, all in white. Large prints on the walls. Massive table in the center with a grand centerpiece. Funky tunes playing from some hidden sound system. Byron has come a long way from the early days.

S ue SEO screwed up my HAIR

I could not agree more with the write up "They screwed up my bosses hair". Where do I start..... I was referred by two great sources: Someone at Allure and her friend. I'm in the public relations so I took this recommendation highly. I went to Ms. S ue Seo and thought I was going to have the best cut and color ever. First she did some type of color that was to be "natural". First clue should have been when she had to ask someone for the correct formulas, Second should have been when she kept me at the bowl and tried to fix it. I think that was her way of making sure I could not see myself. Her excuse was she really was not a colorist!!!! Then why are you coloring my hair!!!! Then she hacked into my hair with a razor and made my frizzy hair even frizzier. Whilst I was getting my services she never said a word to me and was complaining about her sore back and being a Mom. I don't need to hear her problems, I'm there to be pampered.

Ms. Seo was the rudest, grumpiest, bad energy person I have ever encountered. How could Allure Magazine refer her to me!!!!!! When I called to complain I got the same attitude that the "boss" reviewer did. And was told I have to wait until the following week to come back because she is only in once a week. No wonder her work horrific. I cried all night cuz I looked like Lucile Ball with red stripped highlights. I have, make that HAD, beautiful chestnut brown hair. I won't even start complaining about the outrageous ticket I had to pay!!!! She is not worth it the money or the time. I get better treatment at the DMV. Subsequently, I had to go to another place and have Color Correction! For the price of all of this I could have bought a new Marc Jacob’s Back. Ms. Seo owes me a new Marc Jacob’s Bag!!! That’s the only way to make me happy because I would never let her touch my hair! EVER!!!! Warning watch out for the grumpy S UE SEO hair hacker. And as for ALLURE Magazine how could you...... Shame on you!!!!!
