I've been a member at many gyms, large and small. Joe's Gym is on the smaller side, which is fine for me and totally not a bad thing. However, while the people who work there are nice, I'm not at all happy about their cardio equipment. The machines are equipped with personal TVs, to which you can plug in your head sets. There are 2 that work great, and regulars at that gym flock to those two machines. It has been like this since I started my membership over 8 months ago. At their high monthly cost, I'd expect these machines to be replaced or repaired immediately. Needless to say, I don't recommend it...
Pros: People are nice
Cons: Broken Equipment, No Classes

This person Sam, whoever he is must be the typical guy who goes to the gym only to look at all the girls instead of really working out. Ignorant guys like this, who can't spell is the only reason I avoid the larger, corporate gyms where the only workout I get is trying to avoid their staring eyes. I dont know what he is talking about because I love Joe's. Been a member since 2005 and loving it. The staff is very helpful, nice and accomodating. Though the space is a little smaller, it has everything you need for a good workout. I especially love all the functional toys they have. Makes my workouts a little bit more fresh and challenging. Compare to LA Fitness, it is a little on the pricier range but the good thing with Joe's is that there's no contract. I pay month to month and I'm locked in at my great rate of $60/month. The cleanliness is above par and the best thing is that you never have to work out at a crowded place. The members are professionals and very nice as well. Everything at Joe's Gym is warm and they make you feel like part of a family.
Pros: Cleanliness, large selection of core and strength equipment, staff and members
Cons: Parking and lack of classes

I used to be a member of this gym. I switched to Equinox in westwood. I get much more for my money! Better equipment, pool, classes, steam s, better trainers, more equipment, and better atmosphere overall. Take my advise: if you gonna spend money on a gym in the area, checkout Equinox. It is better by far than this small, yet expensive gym with little to offer. If you want a cheaper option, go to LA Fitness in Westwood, still better than this overprised Joes gym is Bodies in Motion. Joes gym is for old folks who work in the same building and who are too tired to go to a real gym after work...and it is full of them.
Pros: not alot of people, parking validation
Cons: terrible equipment, not enough equipment, bad music, no attructive young people, closes early

I love working out at Joe's Gym. I have been a member for over 4 years. I also have a membership at LA Fitness, but never go. Why fly economy when you can fly first class. If you are serious abotu working out, then Joe's is the gym for you. The equipment is state of the art and always clean with no wait time. The treadmills, both types of bikes and eliptical machines all have their own tv with basic cable. Plus, there are at least 9 flat screens around the gym. The service is excellent and personal. I am greeted by name when I walk in. The trainers are very knowledgeable and creative. I recommend any of them, but I currently train with Heidi. However, you will be extremely satisfied with Ron, Andy or Sarah. Joe's does not offer your typical gym classes, but the trainers are putting together a circuit training class called 300. Look at the website for more details. There are plenty of toys to play with during your workout to keep it fresh and new, with something new every couple of months, it seems. You should definitely check it out for yourself!
Pros: service, equipment, cleanliness, free towels, people are there to work out, not crowded, personal tv's on cardio equipment

I love Joe's. It's a sophisticated gym with a warm atmosphere. The equipment is new, and there are always new, up-to-date additions. They are adding a circuit training class, too. The trainers are well-educated in current trends as well as the basic, safe ways to do weight training, functional and core exercises. I have made friends at Joe's, also. That makes it fun to work out. I am a busy mom, and I can always fit in a workout, shower in the clean, spacious locker room, and go!

A clean, well run, small, personable but not intrusive, gym. Excellent trainers if you are looking for a personal trainer, especially Ron. State of the art machines; each has its own TV. Highly recommend.
Pros: Great trainers; state-of-the-art machines; TV's; towels.
Cons: No classes

Joe's Gym is a great gym - Very clean, well organized, friendly staff, and conveniently located on the West Side. I have been going there for years now, and even though I moved from Brentwood to the SF Valley, I insist on keeping my membership because it is worth it. I highly recommend this gym.
Pros: Warm and Welcoming Staff, Very Clean, Nice Equipment
Cons: No classes, Parking can be a bit hard (but that is true for all places on the West Side)

I really enjoy working out at Joe's Gym. I've been going there very regularly since they opened. Joe’s Gym has lots of plasma TVs, plenty of cardio equipment (with individual TVs!) and enough strength training equipment to keep you busy for hours. Joe's has a great balance of being a small, accessible gym with big gym resources.
Pros: Personal TVs on the cardio equipment
Cons: No classes

Joe's Gym is great! The equipment are new, modern and most importantly, very clean. The service is definitely above par. It is the "Cheers" of all gyms! All the staff knows your name and the service is great. Very much like a family because you get to know all the members and workers there. There is never a wait for any equipment even during the busiest hours. Perfect for busy working professionals who just want to get in and get out. Towels are free and they have a bunch of functional toys for you to mess with. Ive been a member for 2 years and absolutely love it!! A definite recommendation.
Pros: Convenient, clean and great customer service.
Cons: Parking may be a little annoying.
