Hip ultra-lounge returns to its long-ago straight bar roots, after a short stint as I-Candy on gay Logo TV. (Now closed, the space reopened in September 2008 as 24K Lounge.)

In Short
Most recently remembered as I-Candy, this once no-man's-land bar used to be the trendy Belly in the early '00s. It's now been redesigned as an elegant 1960's throwback lounge full of intriguing nooks. Upon entry, turquoise bricks line the black walls dotted with solitary candles. In the main bar area, a glass-enclosed DJ booth peeks over two sunken tables. The outdoor front patio is always festive--and often jammed with smokers watching the late-night traffic on Santa Monica Boulevard zoom by.

Great place to go to if you are a high roller. Private, comfortable, and great service. They were a pleasure to talk to and the managers sent us a complimentary bottle just for showing our support. I disagree with all of the people who didn't have a good experience. Obviously, they are trying to sabotage their rating and class. DJ's getting paid? That's what your worried about. I've heard all the top DJ's spin there and no one has ever complained. If you want an upper scale place to go to, here it is. If you are going to buy one drink and baby sit it all night and then complain, go to Area or Le Doux. This is for all you high rollers. I've been there on the weekends and it's been bumping. Some people complained that they couldn't get in, but all you fat ugly chicks should go elsewhere. Definitely 5 stars!
- Pros: Great Service
- Cons: Fun ends at 2am
I HATE THIS CLUB

I HATE THIS CLUB. I completely agree with drewtownusa. The new manager is like a bad villian from cartoon movies. He's rude, he overcharged us on our bill, didnt care, laughed when we said we were upset with our service. I showed up to support a friend who was dj'ing there (who i also heard didnt get paid by the way - this manager guy really is an idiot isnt he) and there were only a few people there - the club was dead. I had a few drinks, my bill was double that, i complained and he said 'too bad, not my fault'... this is the MANAGER. i explained that i didnt order half the stuff on my bill, that's when he laughed and said 'deal with it'. i swear to god, he said 'deal with it'. To the manager of seven, we hate you, to seven, we hate, you and... you should pay your dj's, it's the only thing saving your place for even a moment. ... oh yeah... we hate you.
- Pros: when i left and went home
- Cons: Club seven
WORST CLUB EVER! THEY DIDN'T EVEN PAY THE DJ!

THIS IS THE WORST CLUB EVER! The drinks are overpriced. There is never anyone in there. Everytime i hear the hype on an event going on in there, and for me that was 3 times (shoulda learned my lesson right?), there was like 5 people in there. And on top of that the manager is the rudest person i've ever met. My buddy told me that they didnt even pay the dj what they were supposed to. Evidently the new manager is a scam artist and just pockets the money he makes nightly. I rarely write reviews, but this time i had to. Don't go to club seven.
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: CLose your club.
Horrible experience

I had the most horrible experience when I went here last night. My friends and I got in line at 10:15 pm and was optimistic about being able to get in. An African American lady that was in charge of the guest list was walking up and down the line and asking whose list are they on and would pull them out of line and let them in. We were on a list so we thought we won't have any problem. The guest list lady asked then people in front of us and in back of us and just completely ignored us. As time went by, you can notice the trend and her criteria on who gets to go in or not. By 11pm, only Asians were in line. She pulled out every other race and let them in except for the Asians. We asked what her system was and she just kept ignoring us and said that we will be able to get in in a minute. When another person got in line that was not asian, she would approach them and let them in and just completely ignored the Asians in line. We took our business elsewhere.
I can't seem to put the r word in this review, but this place is that. They discriminate against asians! Will never go back here again!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Unfair treatment of Asians.

I went to Seven for a birthday recently and had a blast! Staff was attentive, we didn't have a hard time getting in and the music was hot! I definitely recommend it for anyone who's looking for a good time in LA without all the pretentious stuff that's associated with some other clubs.

i went to seven the other week and had a blast! some friend of a friend was having there birthday there and when they said that they were having it at this place called seven, I was all "where is that?" I remembered hearing of the club but i never went. the thing is when i showed up i recognized it right off the bat. we parked the car and went in and as soon as i stepped in i was loving the sounds coming from the dj. it was a good vibe dance, rock'n'roll and chill all at the same time. it made me want to dance and hang with my friends. as the night went on things got out of hand and before i knew it the night was over. i wish LA could be like NY and we could be out till 4 am but i had a great time. thanks djs (jasepi, i later found out was the saturday night resident and No MSG the guest dj)
- Pros: good misic
- Cons: small venue
Small with Big Time Fun!

It has been a few months since I've been to Seven. It was the first time for everyone in a small group of 6 for a promoted event. The bar has a slightly dark yet comfortable vibe with a perfectly crowded atmosphere. The music that night was dark House, which I'm sure helped set the mood. The bartender who attended to us (I believe it was Anthony) was amazing. I'm sorry to hear that he has been let go. I can't speak for his behavior with other people or the rest of the bar staff, however, he was attentive and generous - which in turn made our night, got him a shot or two on us, and a large tip for the entire bar at the end of the night. I've been to just about every place in Los Angeles - big time clubbing, small kitchy bars, exclusive "have to be a unclothed or a celebrity" type places - and I have to say that Seven is a favorite for just the right mix of music, bar, and people.
I hope to see and hear about more Seven events.
- Pros: Ambience, General Scene
- Cons: Turnover, No recent promotions
Terrible Customer Service and They Act So "Hollywood"

I really didn't appreciate how I was treated by one of the owners Noah. I was planning on celebrating my birthday party here, and we were going to do it up very nice. I felt that I just kept getting pushed off and jerked around. I kept trying to contact them to give them my deposit. I WAS TRYING TO GIVE THEM MONEY! I don't think this is how you should treat a customer and sad to say I never got the option to even visit the club. If you are looking to book a special event at SEVEN, I would suggest to take your business else where.
