Skinny's is a really cool, Modest bar/lounge in NOHO. Great looking room, dark setting but with great se$y lighting.a dance floor (on the small side) but doesn't k!ll the party, a VIP party room, love the friendly bar tenders but cant stand the door men. Cool music (DJ & Jukebox and I think occassional live acts) and good pours. My good friend DJ's Thursday nights for 80's night...well worth it. Best of all, it's in stumble home distance to my house. I'll be back. although this past saturday night was a let down..it was one my girlfriends birthday and half our party waited for an hour just to leave.

Pros: DJ, Drinks, and people

Cons: line at the door

There's no cover and plenty of parking behind a motel. It's really easy to get to and crowded. My only complaint is the music. Since this is dance club, I've got to talk about the music. They will play mostly old school music on a Saturday night, mix in a few current rock or hip hop hits, and then go right back to old school Michael Jackson. I can't stand it. You want the party to be hoppin'? Take some lessons from the current L.A. radio stations (Power 106, Kiis FM) and play that stuff. Not this old school mess. I'm sick of it. Oh and depending on the night you go, they may or may not have tap water for you to drink. They may say they don't have any and then try to sell you super expensive bottled Fiji water for like $4 or $5.

Pros: no cover, free parking

Cons: music, sometimes make you pay for bottled water

Regardless of my cheesy title line Skinny's is a fantastic bar up in NoHo. The entire staff is totally cool from the chill doorman and gregarious Bartenders to the easy-on-the-eyes cocktail waitresses. I went there recently for a Saturday night out and had a blast dancing, socializing and enjoying some moderately priced drinks...that is a nice change of pace compared to the frequently over priced libations found in many lounge/clubs in LA. The two...yes two DJs were spinning a great mix of tunes that ranged from 80's alternative dance tracks to the latest pop faves. The crowd was energetic and totally friendly...another nice change from the sometimes snooty patrons found in many LA establishments. Go there and have some good clean fun!

Pros: Fair priced drinks, cool vibe, good tunes, fun crowd, friendly staff.

seriously one of the best bars/club i've been to yet. the ambience is relaxing and beautiful. the bartenders are friendly and down to earth....and serve great drinks without having to pay $10 to $12 bucks per drink. it actually has a reasonable size dancefloor. the cocktail waitress' are also friendly always quick and diligent when getting your drink. the only cons are the music: the dj does not know how to mix...we were dancing to britney's song (one of her newest) and i swear it was mixed so it was 10 minutes long! next please.....he/she also would mix it up from new hip hop/pop to old unpopular 90's music. and also, parking can be a hassle. but all in all....great place for after work drinks or just to hang.

Pros: drinks, service, ambiance, in your budget

Cons: lousy music, parking

Its a really great spot. I would have given it 5 stars but the DJ on Saturdays sucks.Good Drinks. Cool decor.

Pros: Good drinks, atmosphere, style

Cons: DJ doesn't know how to mix.

This is the best place, probably in all of LA. I've been to a lot fo bars/clubs in all of L.A. and Skinnys has to be one of the best if not #1. The staff and managmenent are amazing, supuer nice... you wont get that whole cliche wait in line outside, buy a bottle to sit at a table ordeal... very relaxed, great music, dance floor, reasonable drinks worth every penny... and clean. Just overall a great place to go. I give this bar a A+++++++++! We will be back soon again for sure!

Pros: Great people, friendly staff, good drinks, good music, plenty of local parking, very clean

Cons: NOTHING YET!!! :)

Skinny's is a really cool, unpretentious bar/lounge in NOHO. Great looking room with a cool Brassai photo above the bar, a dance floor, a VIP party room, a friendly staff and a no bulls..t vibe. Cool music (DJ & Jukebox and I think occassional live acts) and good pours. I met one of the owners, an English guy who told me they're doing Spoken Word nights, Independant Movie nights and other special events. A bar with a brain. Whew! There was a birthday party going on when we were there and they were having a blast on the dance floor. Best of all, it's in stumble home distance to my house. I'll be back.

Pros: Great looking room, low lights, conversation friendly, good music, staff & drinks

Cons: Nothing occurs to me at the moment. We had a GOOD time.

SKINNYS IS AWESOME! My friends and I had a party there last weekend and we rented the back /VIP room - it was the best time ever! Everyone had a blast, the DJ played awesome dance music and the drinks were strong! Decent drinks, music, dance floor - what more could you ask for? Also, Eric is the most awesome bartender ever! I highly recommend it!

Pros: Ambience, Dance Floor
