I cannot say enough bad things about this place

I should preface this review by saying that I never went into Opera. My horrible experience took place right in the line. We got there at 10:30 and we were the 2nd group of people in the line. A group of 5 girls- 5 cute girls might I add. We waited in line for over an hour. We watched as plastic bleach blonds with bad implants and ugly wannabe dudes walked past us for an hour (basically your typical LA trash). One of my friends walks to the front to see if there was any way we could get in since it was my birthday. The 5'0" bouncer with veneers and an apparent littleman's syndrome scolded her and told her never to do that again. I hate when miserable people get an ounce of power. Anyways we continue to wait when a charter bus of sorority and fraternity kids roll up and walk straight into the club. Finally the little man tells us we will can go in and the cover is 20. We start discussing whether we really want to go in there after looking at the trash walking in. Next thing you now the little leprachaun tells us to "get it together, get our money in a little pile and he will talk to us." At that point I decided that I didn't want to pay 20 to be treated badly and I sure didnt want them to get my money, so we left. Went to Boulevard 3 got in for free and was greeted by a hot and nice bouncer. Everyone was drunk and having fun. It saved the rest of our night. Maybe the inside of Opera is so spectacular its worth the abuse, but my self respect comes at a higher price than that. Will never go back to that place EVER again. You should save yourself the hassle and go to oulevard 3 inside.

Pros: maybe the inside is nice (though I highly doubt it)

Cons: the line
