LEGIT hollywood club
by ilovecjheisawesome
I don't know about you... but on my weekendsI like to go where people are actually having fun. there is a tight "door discretion" policy which means the pretty are priority ... & once inside you can mingle amongst the gorgeous crowd. the 2 dj's on both the dance floor and the patio sweeten the deal. 3 bars! 3 BARS! it's a great venue for dancing. i've heard that the restaurant is pretty good too! for guestlist consideration or bottle service email me "ritual guest list" in the subject line, how many ppl ini your party and a myspace/ facebook link. my email is cjatthedoor@gmail com
What happened to White Lotus!?
by Janelle15
The place was better when it was White Lotus!!! There is never a line and you have to pay $20 to get in. I've been to better clubs in hollywood.

Ritual is the Worst Nightclub Experience Ever!! Waste of Time!! Not Recommended at All
by kardashian
Bought presale tickets to their Halloween event 2008. Got to Ritual around 10p. Went to will call desk set up outside and staff there was extremely unorganized. Told us to wait in line with others who also bought presale tickets. Everyone in this line was pushing, shoving, cutting in and some even fighting (where was security? talk about the chaos of the wild west). The line was a cesspool of disorganized grabastic amphibian dung! Finally worked our way to the front and after an extremely long wait the bouncer in the front asked us how many girls we had in our party. WTF...we paid for our presale tickets already and waited very long in line, why should that have mattered? Luckily we were in a group of 4 girls and 1 guy so we finally were able to get in. It was close to midnight when we finally got in after waiting in the presale ticket line for almost an hour and a half. Once we were in we made a rush for one of their bars. We were able to get to the front. After over 30 minutes of waiting they finally took our drink orders. We had friends who didn't buy presale tickets and to compensate they got there very early and waited in line for over 2 and 1/2 hours. While in line they noticed the club promoters give a bunch of blue tickets to their own friends and acquaintances and it seemed as if most of the club was filled very fast with their own friends and acquaintances. Even the people who bought presale tickets were neglected which is extremely unprofessional for any establishment. Some even bribed the doorman a C-note or $100 and still had to wait an hour after the doorman got their money. After we finished our drinks we all left because this place sucked big time. We ended up going to Forbidden City down the street and got right in and paid $20. We thought our Halloween would be a complete disaster but fortunately we left the horrible experience of Ritual behind and were able to go to another club instead.

I wanted to celebrate my birthday at a nice club and I booked my table with Jennifer for Friday, September 26, 2008 at Rituals. I was told that I could get there at 9:30 but when I got there they said that I had to wait half an hour in line, well, nicely, I asked if I can wait in the bar and they agreed. I had a great table and my friends had a lot of fun. A few of them wanted to know how they can book their birthday there. What I didn't know was that the guy who cleaned out my table was going to take my gifts that were in a bag with him. He thought that we were drunk and would leave without noticing. When I asked the security they treated me like a dog and all they wanted was to kick me out of the club. I don't understand why the guy had to remove the gift bag from the table. The security brought me back the bag but without the gifts, he said he found it in the trash. NICE! The music and atmosphere was great until the end. I called Jennifer the next day and she didn't respond to my call. I have tried calling a manager but the person who answered the phone said that they don't have a manager until Thursday, October 2, 2008. Furthermore, I paid over one thousand dollars to celebrate my birthday there and all my friends were supposed to get in for free, didn't happen, I found out the next day that a few people had to pay to get in. Also, I asked the waitress that at the end of the night, I wanted to pay with two different credit cards and the waitress agreed, but at the end she decided to run my card without letting me know. I was paying with my business card and I didn't want to pay the whole amount with that card. Well, she made me feel as if I would not pay them, they even got a fingerprint from me. I wonder if everybody gets finger printed? They were not organized at all. There are other clubs and I will never go to Rituals again.
Overpriced bad food

My husband and I went to Ritual for a friend's birthday tonight - we started with dinner so we could get free club admission, but since they wouldn't seat our party until all 16 of us showed up, our 8:30pm reservation turned into a 9:30pm sit-down. Sure, not the restaurant's fault that members of our party were late, but the restaurant wasn't full and the table we were seated at was empty for the whole time we were waiting; why not just let us sit down? Ordering our food and drinks was pretty quick, but then we waited... and waited... and waited for an hour and a half before our food came. Since everything on the menu was overpriced ($18 for chicken?), and we were there for our friend and not for the upscale dining, I ordered the vegetarian ravioli and my husband ordered the ahi poke, a couple of the cheapest things on the menu. Well, vegetarian ravioli turned out to be 5 small pieces of runny-cheese flavorless ravioli with pasta that was way too thick and undercooked, and peas that tasted like they were cooked a week ago; and all that for $16? I sent it back with my complaints, but the waiter said that ordering another entree would take another hour and recommended I get an appetizer instead. So I ordered the honey walnut shrimp, which thankfully came out 10 minutes later - but the shrimp was over-breaded and under-cooked and the sauce was way too sweet, so biting into it was like eating super-sweet sticky flour. My husband had a mixed review for his ahi poke appetizer: the fish itself was good but the wasabi soy sauce that was all over it was way too strong, so it overpowered the fresh fish and pineapple that otherwise might've been very good. Also, since it took so long for our food to come, they had already turned the dining room into a lounge and everyone in there was smoking around us while we ate; it was disgusting. Don't eat at Ritual - it'd be better to just fork over the $20 club cover if you really want to dance here.
- Pros: decor
- Cons: expensive bad food, slow service, expensive parking, smoking allowed in dining area

IWhere the hell do you usually go to dinner if you think $18.00 is too much to pay for chicken?? If you go to Tony Roma's, the chicken plate is the same price..and that's Tony Romas!! You do mention that you were there for a birthday and not the upscale dining, so you really shouldn't try to play food critic if you don't know what you are talking about.
I can't stand it when people who are used to Hometown Buffet or Sizzlers go to a fine establishment and then have the nerve to complain about the food, and/or the cost.
Frankly, I think you are a professional reviewer who gets paid to write bad reviews, since #1, I dine at Ritual every week and have yet to experience a bad meal, and secondly, your review is dated on a Sunday, when Ritual is NOT EVEN OPEN!! Oh and thirdly, what are the chances that EVERYTHING you tried was not good?? I get the fact that restaurants have bad days, but the chances of everything not being to your satisfaction is just plain ludicrous!!
- Pros: Great food, good looking people, fun staff
- Cons: can't think of any
Terrible treatment from valet to management
by Heather2000
Starting with parking , I was welcomed by a rude attendant who treated me like he was doing me a favor for parking my car for a minimum fee of $20.00. When I complained about how expensive it was, he ironically offered me VIP parking for $50.00 and $100.00 and told me that i was lucky to find a space as they were almost full at 11:30 PM on the week-end. When I sent an e-mail to management, not even a response. Definitely dissapointing and one should expect a bette response and reaction from such an establishment's management. I will never recommend it, nor will I go back.
