Approaching the entrance, you immediately stumble upon an awkward ramp leading to the heavy, tinted threshold. Designer lighting creates a subtle glow once you step foot onto the concrete flooring, and you are welcomed into the serene atmosphere. At first glance, you notice the protruding bar, designed to fit the occupying space. Then, your eye wanders to the right, catching a glimpse of the cozy fireplace situated on the back wall. Lounge seating compliments this section, allowing for prime conversational areas. An outdoor space provides for additional conversations as it is separated from the street by a pattern-based brick wall, creating an “indoor” feel. Heading back indoors, you find yourself captivated by the large 3’x3’ photographs of derelict pools and suburban Los Angeles, leaving a lasting impression of this “black diamond in the rough.” Drink of Choice: Acme IPA Music of Choice: Late 90’s top 50 pop/rock 811 dot tumbler dot com

Walked in around 8:00pm on a wednesday night, to grab a bite to eat before my friends started arriving for drinks. Very quiet around this time easy to get a drink. Chicken tacos were recommended had them, and they were fantastic! Order the Frys guys!!!! Chatted with the locals everyone was very friendly, as the evening progressed so did the number of occupants. Never got loud enough that you couldn't hear what anybody was saying. There were very attractive people scattered amongst the place, bartender was on top of everything, definitely a positive recommendation. Newly renovated, locals talked about what an old dive it use to be. Very hip and trendy, definitly envied the couple that was able to snag the couch next to the fireplace!!! If you do go, try to bring a jacket, noticed that the AC was on high through out most of the evening- being from Michigan I was even a little chilly. Definitely a place you want to visit if your looking for something new, and fun!!!!
Pros: Very nice decor, friendly people all over!
Cons: AC was on all night making it chilly

Loved the fact that I didn't have to drive across town for a small, simple, nicely decorated bar. I like chill environments and usually go to The Well when i'm in hollywood. but that's far when you live in Ladera. Place was brighter than most bars and that's a plus...bartenders were cute and flirty so taht added to the fun. I had the mozzarella, fried chicken oysters, zucchini, and the beer on tap...all fantastic. was able to have good convo with friends...nice drinks....didn't notice the pricing because i think the folks that say stuff is too expensive haven't relized the old idea of too expensive is now the new norm. I got there at 9:15pm so i had no issue with sitting at the bar. the place did get crowded and folks stood around and chit chatted. but that's the appeal as well. not the place for large bday parties or a night out on the town...it's the place for "hey what do you wanna do tonite?" "i dunno...i just wanna chill out and have a drink and not pay a cover or wait in a line and eat some simple good eats" "well let's got to the alibi" "done."
Pros: Modern decor, good bar food, fun beers, cute bartenders, plenty of parking, small so it stays a local bar, lighting is not nonexsistent, music is not distracting
Cons: none for me, bar got crowded but isn't that a good thing? don't want them out of business

Another Bar From the Owners of the Brigg. Went on a Saturday night for a birthday. We also live near by. Very crowded because the layout of the place is not very functional. The bar is an odd shape that takes up most of the space in the room. Along side of the bar are seats & peopel stand behind them but the aisle is too narrow to get through so people are constantly bumping into eact other. This used to be a local bar which, like the Brig has lost all of it's character and is another expensive generic space.
Pros: Not much
Cons: Expensive, trendy, & poor us eof space & design
