Non-profit gallery encourages artistic experimentation, expanding the limits of the traditional exhibition space through out-of-the box installation.

In Short
Exposed wooden rafters and concrete floors infuse this two-room art space with a rawness that reflects its industrial history. Arriving in 2006, this non-profit gallery aims to provide the LA arts community with an exhibition space that allows artistic experimentation and dialogue. Under the guidance of director and curator Lauri Firstenberg, the gallery as expanded the boundaries of art making and exhibiting. Past exhibitions include a piece by phonographer Chris Watson, who recorded the sounds of Iceland's largest glacier, and Ruben Ochoa's site-specific sculpture, which reinterprets a concrete freeway wall in the context of the gallery space.
