No longer in business
by biglolo2000 at Citysearch
On Mothers day I went there to get some stuff for my kids and was very sad to see that they have closed up shop as of a couple of weeks ago. When I went next door to ask about them they said that they closed and did not have another location. Sad to know that they had to close due to the crazy economy.
- Cons: No longer there
Trendy finds for playground fashionistas and eco-conscious kiddies alike.

In Short
Stocked with designer labels and eco-friendly lines, this Main Street children's boutique is a seriously hip haven for little ones. Vintage tables are stacked with a selection of items that create a comfortable-chic style for kids and babies. Joe's Jeans, Tea Collection, Puella Petit, and Local Celebrity are a few of the stylish brands to choose from. For early environmentalists, faux tree trunks showcase miniature distressed T-shirts that promote an eco-friendly "green" lifestyle. As part of another eco-endeavor, the Baby Bean Vintage line makes dresses from recycled silk from the 1930s-40s. A play area with toys and books keeps kids occupied while parents peruse fun stock options like Yoga Pretzels--a deck of cards with different yoga positions for mom and child to do together. Also popular are the "Rock-a-by Baby" albums, which are bedtime renditions of songs for adult boogiers by artists like the Rolling Stones, Green Day and Bob Marley.
Adorable (and affordable) clothes and more for kids

My kids love going to Harper Lane because there are fun toys and books for them to play with and read and they can sense that they are welcome there. This makes my shopping experience much more enjoyable, without a doubt! (There is room for a stroller to manoeuver too.) The quality of clothing and merchandise is exceptional, and the selection and styles are adorable. The owners have clearly thought through everything that is on the shelves. I have bought stuff for my own kids there and have found several terrific shower gifts and birthday presents. I don't think you can go wrong at Harper Lane.
- Pros: Comfortable shopping with my own kids
Great Children's store

You can really tell just by walking in that the owners wanted to create a welcoming experience for the whole family! My kids went straight to the "play"area and wrote a letter to the little chipmonk that "lives" in the store. I sent my mom back the next day and I love that she found things she adored and what she picked out was still hip enough for my little girl!!
Also, on Sundays the Farmer's Market is right across the street so it makes for a great activity.
Non-traditional childrens clothing.

Great, interesting clothes and accessories. Funky, fun...all of their stuff has a personal feel. Don't go on Monday's, 'cuz they're not there.
- Pros: Great value; charming; kid friendly
- Cons: none really
