After finally opening, I was intrigued to see what they had done with the old Schatzi's. The decor is great and pretty upscale. I went on a Sat nite and the crowd was very spot on. A little more prissy than most the other places on Main St, but, no worries. Came to see my buddies play. There area is kinda small, but it works. Overall, it was a generally satisfying experience.

Pros: decor

Cons: no smoking in patio... boo!

I went to Hidden for happy hour on Friday and had a great time! This place is truely hidden...it's a hard to see if you're just driving by. Save yourself sometime and find parking nearby and walk there. It's really beautiful inside and the place is HUGE! I didn't get to try their food, but I would come back just for the ambience anytime.

Pros: Great atmosphere, Drinks, Lots of options...indoor, outdoor, bar, couches, etc

Cons: Didn't get to try their food...next time.

Went to Hidden with a group of ten on a Friday night. We had a reservation and were seated fairly quickly. It took a while for the waitress to make her way over to take our drink order and we received our drinks about 45 minutes later. Getting our food took forever and it was a parade of plates coming out at random times 10 to 15 minutes apart. After two hours and forty five minutes and the waitress having to resubmit my order to the kitchen, my pizza finally arrived. It was over spiced and pretty low quality. A store bought frozen pizza tastes better. The waitress was apologetic and comped my meal but I doubt I will ever go back.

Pros: Nice patio feel

Cons: Poor quality food, over priced, crowded

Dont waste your time or money. The food Tasted cheap. If i wanted Pizza Hut I would have had it delivered. The hostess are not the sharpest took for ever to be sat in an empty place. The service was poor. I was really disappointed.

Pros: No pros

i went to Hidden when they first opened & had a really good time, but i didn't think the place would last. I LOVE their other place, Via Veneto, but something didn't feel right at Hidden back in November. Recently one of my girlfriends said a friend of hers was having a birthday party there & asked me to come along. WOW! The entire place had been transformed. There are couches everywhere, indoors & outdoors, the sushi bar is gone, so you can now order drinks there. Great improvement. Believe it or not ,they had Picasso painting on a wall in the garden all night long! This place now has more of a feel of a club than a restaurant, and the food was all really good. It was just one of those perfect evenings. .if anyone reading this is thinking about a place for parties, you can not go wrong choosing Hidden. great looking crowd to boot!

I went to Hidden for my first time tonight and really enjoyed the place. I liked the overall ambiance of the place. It had a great feel to it. I thought the music was good. The crowd was really into the DJ, people were dancing and having lots of fun. Hidden is free from the prententiousness that some of the newer places in Santa Monica have adopted. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great place to hang and have fun with friends.

Pros: Fun, Great Service, Ambience

I recently went there for lunch and absolutely loved everything from the apps to the after-dinner cappuccino. Their sandwiches were great and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the pho. It definitely has an eclectic menu but if you're open to that, it's a great find. The staff is just as eclectic but I for one welcome that in a place like L.A. where everybody looks the same at most restaurants. We had a great time, and it will surely not be our last visit to Hidden. I also hear there's a hot bartender named Olsen...

Pros: Lovely outdoor seating area

Cons: Too much seating was in the shade

I should have know when we walked in last night and couldn't read the name on the menu, that we were in for quite the dining experience. Never in my 33 years of living and dining in West LA have I ever waited so long for a meal. Apparently Hidden is so "nestled in the old Schatzi space" that even the waiter couldn't find us to take our order, retake our order, or at least bring us a cocktail. After multiple arguments with both the "Bono wannabe" owner and the "italian" manager/waiter, whose accent felt more like deep Burbank than deep Tuscany, we finally got our meal. The 4 HOUR marathon of waiting proved slightly worth it , as the food is actually deserving of the 3 stars. The company we were with that endured this at times comedic dance of "what'd you order again" and "just try the beef soup even if you are a vegetarian" was more deserving of 5 STARS. Sadly the phenomenon that is Kitchen Nightmares rang true for us last night at Hidden. Gordon Ramsey would have had a field day with the scattered menu, the way too cool for themselves crowd, and the "dreadfully poor service that you don't have the bullocks to make better!!" When Hollywood comes to the beach, stand by for not only a clash of culinary personalities, but the most confused group of restaurant personnel I've seen in a long time. Net Net, if you want to have a great experience at Hidden, order when you make your reservation and bring good friends who you can laugh with, because trust me....you'll need it.

Pros: Food is quite decent

Cons: Everything else including the below average 16 dollar mojito

Last night was great. It was my friend's party and I was there for the first time. I have three words for you: Pizza, Sushi, Music. Music is better ( live DJ ) then in some big clubs in Hollywood area. Service was good, great ambiance... I will be back.
