Stk is a beautiful and efficient restaurant with an extremely friendly staff. I recently had dinner here with my boyfriend and overall we enjoyed our experience. In fact, he said that it was the best steak he had ever had. And although the bill can add up depending on what you order, you can enjoy a meal here without breaking the bank. Sides are big enough to share and we ordered the mac and cheese, which unfortunately looked better than it tasted. Another con was that the tables were too close together, so we felt as though we were eating with other people. And although the staff for the most part was extremely accommodating, our server acted like he had better things to do than wait tables. So although this is a restaurant that I would recommend, it was not a perfect experience.

Pros: beautiful, efficient, friendly staff

Cons: tables are close together, valet is pretty slow

i recently went into STK (within the last week), and i had to write a truthful and fantasic review. I LOVED IT!!!! I went on a thursday night, and wasn't expecting anything great considering that our reservation was earlier on in the evening but, i was wrong. i will be honest, i went there soley to people watch because i heard all of the buzz about celebrity sighting and what not, completley was not expecting to have a wonderful meal and experience at he same time. i went with a few friends, our reservation was at 7:30, we were a bit late so we had to wait for our table.... no worries, we were late. so, we enjoyed some cocktails at the bar in the mean time, i had a "gin fizz", all i have to say is WOW. my girlfriend had a strawberry cobbler, again she was raving about it. we waited about 20 min for our table, but it was worth the wait. our party of five was seated in a georgeous room with white walls and intricate details, beautiful. our server Boots, was totally cool with us and very informative about everything on the menu. i loved that she was so friendly yet professional at the same time, i thought in a swanky place like that it would be different, but no way. for starters we split the jumbo lump salad and the foi gras french toast, both were amaizing.... on to our salad. i will go back any day for the arugula salad. i had the fish special for my entree and side of mac n cheese and cauliflower was again split at the table. i left stuffed and happy, the bill was reasonable for five people and i have been back since (that salad was soooo good ((what can i say?i'm a girl?)) i also forgot to add a very importtant part... i did get to see some stars!!! all in all, consider me a regular.

Pros: the atmosphere, the food, the service, EVERYTHING

Cons: i had to leave

I was quite shocked to read the most recent reviews. My friends and I are frequent diners here and it gets better every time. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. The waiter we had last time we went was also very handsome which was definitely a plus. He provided exceptional service which just made the night even better. I tend to stick to what I'm familiar with, but this time I took suggestions from our server and was delightfully suprised enjoying everything he recommended. The steak is always delicous and I cant come without ordering the mashed potatoes.

Pros: valet, food, ambience

Cons: reservations are needed

let's start with the food. My 20 oz steak tasted like the gas grill it was cooked on. It was dreadful. The asparagus side was a handful of spindley stems. The tartar starter was soaked in too much truffle oil. The atmosphere is almost unbearable. Overcrowded (people waiting 30-40 min for their reserved table) with a crowd that seemed like they just got off a southwest flight from Las Vegas. Actually, if you want to overpay for a cheap Vegas experience, I guess this is the right place you. Certainly not for me. It seems like the owners have one intention, to take as much money from as many people as quickly as they can.

Pros: valet parking

Cons: food, atmosphere

I knew this was a trendy spot, but i also heard it was a great steak place. The decor was nice...nothing outstanding. Service a little pretentious. Celebrity sighting is a given. Bar area was small and packed. We made last min. resv. and were seated 30 min earlier =) on a Friday night. Be careful not to get stuck in the tiny 2 seater tables...they stink! Also i felt that they should have table clothes...the pleather-like tables are horrible. THE FOOD.... All of us got a Steak. Very good. The sides are horrible....yuck. The Parmesan Fries are deff the frozen kind, Cauliflower was basic, and the Mushrooms were sooooo bland. If you want the celebrity factor & ok food...Its the place....Also Coco de Ville is next door for some late night fun.

Pros: celebrities, steaks, location

Cons: parking, waiting, availability

What a delight to be able to make reservations on a Sunday night that day and still be taken earlier. My girlfriends birthday was that night and since she is a big Steak Lover, this was an ideal place to try. I kept it as a surprise and when we were looking for the place, she kept saying " at least give me a hint, so I know what to look for" I said " Look for TMZ and the paparazzi. She then said " OH STK!!!" The service was great and the food was delicious. Just dissapointed that they said they were to have a candle on her dessert. Which they didn't.

My friends and I are only visitors but we do visit LA quite frequently. We had dinner here a few days ago and it was a fantastic experience. We arrived a little bit early so we headed to the bar for a drink. There was plenty of eye candy and fun people to mingle with. After we were seated, we enjoyed fantastic appetizers and amazing entrees. The roasted garlic potatoes were my favorite and my filet was amazing! I will be making this a regular visit every time I'm in town!

Pros: food, services

Cons: reservations are needed

It was my first time dining here and I must say I will definitely be back soon! It was girls night out and this was THE place to be. With great food, good looking crowd, and fun decor how could you go wrong?! The staff was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. I loved, loved my steak, it was cooked to perfection. Best truffle fries around!!!

Pros: ambience, service

my friends and i went to STK the other night for dinner. it is definitely the scene in la. the food was great and the service was exceptional. I am surprised by some of the reviews I have read. although it was a bit of a wait to be seated, that's what happens when a place is popular; it is to be expected in a new, trendy restaurant with a great reputation. i find it shocking that a few people said they felt rushed, when my friends and I felt the opposite. i could have dined and relaxed there all night long. regardless, i really enjoyed the jumbo lump crab salad and the porter house steak. the music was fresh and enjoyable and worked well with the trendy environment.

Pros: fun environment, good food and service

Cons: should make reservations
