We had a party of 14 for dinner at Goa, and had the worst experience with their service and how they handled my husband's birthday party. First they said, AT THE DOOR, they could not accommodate us after the reservation had been made and confirmed 3 weeks in advance. After going through lists and checking with their reservation desk, they finally took us to our table, which was 4x4 for 14 people (yes, I am serious). Then we ordered our drinks. It took over 20 minutes for the waitress to come back and say they did not have martinis or mojitos. To make it simple and easy, we ordered beers. It took another 30 minutes to get the beers. Unbelievable. Now it's time to order the food. Another disaster. They kept bringing the wrong order to our 4x4 table. I am sure the food handler was not proficient in English; she looked dazed and confused asking "Did you guys order this or was it the other table?" as she walked in circles... How would we know what the other table ordered when we are the customer and she is the one taking the orders? I have never experienced this type of service in a fast food drive through.... Let alone at decent restaurants. Needless to say, Goa, which is supposed to be a trendy place, is the biggest joke in Hollywood. I do not understand how such poor work ethics and customer service can keep Goa in business. Rude, unprofessional, and unprepared do not even begin to describe their staff and manager, who would be incapable of making a career at McDonald's, let alone in Hollywood. I don't know why anybody would associate themselves with a place like Goa in any level. It is a great recipe for failure. It was a waste of my time and energy. One star would give Goa a much superior rating than the maximum it deserves.

This place is beyond over blown. I have been there twice now. The first experince was not good but hey, sometimes a club has a bad night. I am an ex-model from Norway and have no trouble gettting into this or any other club. However, I was offended by the way the bouncers were treating my friends in the line before I got there. The offensive treatment outside is only surpassed by the treament inside. For the second time, bad service, bad crowd and bad music. Your club is over. I can't believe anyone, other than an employee or someone with a vested financial interest, would give this place a positive review of any kind. I won't be giving you a third try. If you work there now, you should google the California Development Department and get your paperwork ready for unemployment...

Pros: It will soon be another Club

Cons: Not enough space

A few of my friends and I showed up later on in the night to try our luck to get into Goa. We weren't hopeful as we were at the end of the line. Then the doorman (one in the scarf) approached us and asked if we had reservations. We said no, and he said he's see what he could do. not ten minutes later, he came over to us and led us out of the line and into the club, letting us jump past probably 30 people. The difference? we weren't dressed up like eurotrash with tight short dresses and fake everythings. don't get me wrong, there were plenty inside. But i am pretty sure that they must have reached maximum capacity for plastic because no one else that came through the door after us looked like that. So be classy ladies, and be polite gentlemen. And it will work out in the end.

Pros: excellent atmosphere

Cons: watch out for the dumb girl bartender with a preggo belly and blonde hair

Maybe we just knew the right people or something but we went to the front and got right in. When I got in all the security and the bouncer were really nice to me and telling me to come back. The people in the club were all really gorgeous.

Goa is the epitome of the fake, "exclusive" Hollywood nightclub, where promoters are treated and act like gods, picking and choosing only the "best" (cute blonde white girls first, then white blondes, then white brunettes...you get the picture) for entry. I went to this club only because a friend chose it. There were four of us total and we were supposedly on a guest list. Three of us are Latina, and one of us is Asian. We arrived at Goa a little before 10pm and were third in line. The girls in front of us informed us that blondes wearing revealing clothing always get in first. And they were right. We waited as the line behind us got longer and longer. The bouncers started letting people in--first those with bottle service--then people from our line. Despite being the third group there, we were kept waiting while groups--always with a pretty blonde in tight clothing--were pulled from behind us in line and allowed to go through. We were also kept waiting while blondes approached the bouncers and promoters directly, dropped names, and were allowed entry. At one point, my friend asked one of the gate keepers when they would let us in, and we were told that he would get to us eventually and that he had a "capacity issue." Not five minutes later, he let a group of people in--people who had been behind us in line. After over an hour of this despicable treatment, we left and went to a different club down the street. Since we had valet parked at Goa, we went back after leaving the other club. One of my friends was complaining about our experience to a Goa bouncer, who told us that we had come on the wrong night. He advised us to come on Tuesdays, "Urban Night," which to me is tantamount to telling us to go through the back door! Even though my friends and I aren't "model status," we were as pretty as a lot of the white girls they let in before us, and the bouncer's comment proved our theory that this club is exclusively for whites unless you can sneak in with a friend.

Pros: None

Cons: Snobby, exclusive, and only for white girls unless you have a hookup or friend

If you want to act exclusive, don't lure people to line up and then pick who gets in. What a contradiction and misrepresentation of a club. All negative reviews here are right on. We were invited to join some friends to try this spot. My Indian friend turned 21 and I was excited to take her to an Indian themed club. We waited in line for too long and as we got up in line it became obvious that this place is just a shell of a box and no substance. I was embarrassed to take my friend to a place that misrepresents her culture and people. Bad, bad idea - to use a culures themes and ideas and not back it up with the proper service and attitude. I have been to actual Eastern clubs and they are what a club should be - welcoming, fun, warm, and all about dancing and socilizing! Save your valuable time for a place with tact, creativity and charachter.

Shortly after being seated, the waitress pressured us to put in our order stating that they "flip the tables at 10." We were seated at 8:00...and this is a sushi restaurant!!! When I jokingly commented on that very point she told me that she was getting the manager!!! I am an attorney dining an executive producer...we are hardly trouble-makers. The manager came over and said that he "checked our reservation" and that never would have been said if the waitress knew who we were. Apparently if they had known that I was dining with a Hollywood producer they would have treated us like human beings!!! We were both disgusted and we opted to leave. I am confident that this joke of an establishment will be out of business in no time. I mean, to put it in terms Goa would understand, when is the last time you saw Goa on TMZ??? I rest my case.

Pros: Ambience

Cons: Service, Attitude

Michael and Adolpho fumbled this one... Memphis and the Lodge got it right... At Goa---The service is slow, the food good but the attitude from the servers and doorman is the worse than the stereo typical garbage you tend to find in Hollywood. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. No crowd to speak of and it is of little wonder...

Pros: Sushi and the fun interior design

Cons: Not enough room to list here

The sushi was very good but the serice was slow. Beware of the 20% gratuity already figured in. Personally I tend to tip 25%+ in these types of clubs but when they secretly "ding" you for 20% without telling you, I won't add another dime. If you are having diiner there, they will remind you repeatedly that the unless you are buying bottle service later, you will have to vacte the table by 10 PM. I get it but to be reminded in excess of 4 times within the first hour of an 8 PM dinner is a bit absurd. Don't reccomend and won't return. Too bad for the chef's fine cuisine.

Pros: Food

Cons: General Attitude

Ok, so i have been to Goa a couple of times just bc my friends practically beg me.... First time, yeah we waited, so what, like 15 mins. there was a huge line and once we got in, according to me,, it was going to be packed and nuts... not so surprise it wasnt. I hate stupid clubs who have people outside waiting in line just so they look they are cool and everyone wants to be there.... My last time there was like 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday, I got there like at 11:30 i expected a line there was no one there... so i guess goa is already dying out.. the music that night was really good... but there was no one in there.... sushi is ok...
