My husband worked for Ritz at one time, so I knew they had exactly what I needed -- a compact recharger for rechargeable AA batteries. I went into this store last night on the way home to pick one up. As my husband predicted, the sales person directed me toward the most expensive recharger they had, then tried to get me to buy lithium AAs. When I didn't immediately grab the $35 recharger but picked up the $15 recharger, the salesman simply turned away from me and proceeded to converse with the lab tech. I checked out the frame wall and the clearance items then walked to the counter to pay for my item. Not only did they both ignore me, but the lab tech actually turned away and walked out of the store. Clearly seeing the opportunity for a commission, the salesman ignored me proceeded to help a customer who'd just walked in the store carrying a lens. I simply replaced the battery charger on the display case and left the store. I refuse to be treated so poorly just because I go into a store knowing what I want and don't plan on buying something that the salesperson is going to get a big fat commission on. Needless to say, they've lost me as a customer...and probably not just for this particular Ritz location.
Cons: non-existent customer service
