This club is a great venue with a upscale crowd. I enjoy Friday nights the most because of the crowd that this venue has and the amazing girl to guy ratio. I promote Friday nights at Social as well as many other Hollywood clubs, email me for guest list with "Guest List" in the subject line and your phone number for contact in the body. My email is M_Zdar@hotmail com

Pros: Mansion syle venue, good D.J.'s. Great Decor, Hot Girls, Fair line

Cons: Packed Dance Floor.

I just do NOT understand chefs who put their name on a million restaurants all over the country and cook in NONE of them. I would rather enjoy cuisine from a Real Chef who owns and operates One kitchen.... Needless to say, Citrus is yet another restaurant that uses the name of an absent chef. Yes, Micheal Richard designed ther menu, but he is in D.C. He stayed to train this staff to prepare his food, and then skipped town (just like Wolfgang Puck, Mario Battali, Kerry Simon, etc.). I digress. To Citrus: the space and the staff are lovely. We were seated immediately at a comfortable and large table (for a party of 2). We had some great cocktails (I had the Blueberry lemonade, my date had a martini), and then started with the Onion tart. It came without share plates and was a little droopy in the middle (not great for ladies wearing expensive dresses?), but was otherwise palatable. The Shortribs were good, the Lobster Burger was TOTALLY overpowered by the bread, but once I removed it, the lobster and accompanying garnishes were tasty. Dessert was the highlight of the whole experience; the kitkat chocolate dessert is whimsical and tasty, and the creme brulee was a good execution of a classic. all in all, though, the food was like a higher-end version of Chili's. Every "trendy" LA spot has shortribs, some kind of burger, french fries, etc. They are not reinventing the wheel here at Citrus. All in all, it was just unmemorable and overpriced. I will never go back, unless someone else is footing the bill. the food is good, but unimaginative and OVERpriced.

Pros: staff & decor

Cons: overpriced and unimaginative menu

The food is average here. There is nothing spectacular or exceptional about the meal. The staff is friendly as they should be but I found myself constantly having to ask for things like another bottle of water or another cocktail or a fork. The was ok nothing special. The bullsh@t reviews that management posts get annoying though. It is not a bad spot but nothing great. If you want an average meal before going out in Hollywood then the restaurant makes sense.

Pros: Food was good

Cons: Food was just good nothing spectacular

Oh No...I find myself venturing to Hollywood for a meal! What? Leave NYC to come to L.A. and then not even pass Spago or Bastide before slogging my way down to Hollywood? Yea I have lost my mind! So after doing battle with a Valet attendant who obsconded with my car and $10 I entered Citrus, Wow, the room looks like it came from the 1920's with this great vaulted like cieling painted with what my dining companion said was original detail work. Yea Yea so beyond the good looking space we sunk into the menu. Our waitress was quick to reccomend a cocktail, We went right for the Champagne first and skiped the cocktails that all seemed to be a mash of fruit and simple syrup. Like clockwork, we were into some gougere that came out hot and moist in the center. Next up we had some smoked salmon served on a flatbread with onions, It too was good! Next we sank int some real food, Short ribs That the waitress said cooked for 72 hours? and a piece of Monkfish that was perfect in everyway. One of the managers/sommeliers paired some great wines with our food and offered us a vip spot upstairs for afterdinner drinks and...Killer food and Staff that makes you feel like the Old Hollywood Elite!!!

I went to Citrus at Social about a week ago and I seriously have never had a better restaurant experience. The wait staff was superb - very attentive but not pushy, the food was exquisite - flavorful and rich but light and satisfying, and the decor was elegant and classy. My dining partner and I had the mosaic appetizer, which was so beautiful, and very light and tasty. We also had the cuttlefish carbonara and the goat cheese caesar salad, both of which were superb. For an entree, I had the colorado lamb entree and my partner had the Arctic Char - we licked our plates clean! Finally for dessert, we had the Kit Kat bar and the Vacherin, both of which were beautiful and delectable. The wine complimented our meals perfectly. Overall this experience was quite remarkable.

Pros: great service, beautiful presentation, fabulous decor

Cons: N/A

I visited Citrus at Social with a group of girlfriends this past Saturday and had a ball! The dining room transformed smoothly and beautifully from Moroccan to Hollywood glam/ secret garden with posh lime green chairs, vines covering the side wall and hanging globe lights! So much fun. The dining experience as a whole was amazing. We had the mosaic (a beautifully presented plate of surf and turf carpaccio that was equally tasty) and cuttlefish carbonara (literally melts in your mouth... It's heaven) appetizers. I would definitely suggest ordering different menu items and sharing if you're dining with good friends. We dined on the lobster burger, arctic char and 72 hour short ribs (perfectly cooked and seasoned and the fries are to die for!!!!) and duck, duck orange (like I said, such a fun menu!). Everything was cooked to perfection and our server was so attentive and helpful- he gave us the best recommendations and was very knowlegeable about the menu and the ingredients as one of my girlfriends is on a crazy diet. We were amazed at how healthy some of the food can be made and our server informed us that much of the food is local and organic. The BEST part of our experience was dessert (and not kidding, we tried every one). My favorite is the vacherin and the kit kat bar! At the end of the evening we all agreed that Citrus is one of the best new restaurants in LA... It's hard to find a good restaurant with great food, service and a fun environment but we found one. We might even do girls night there again in a couple of weeks!

Pros: Fun and beyond delicious menu, great attentive service

Cons: none!

There was a group of us that went to Social at Citrus on Friday for dinner and then dancing at Social next door. The bartender Ryan was REALLY NICE and made great drinks at $16 a drink so I guess they should be great. Next we were seated at our table and we started asking about the menu which is way over there heads. We asked our waiter certain questions and as soon as we saw him getting annoyed we asked him what he liked on the menu and he replied "I would just like you to order". So next YOU GUESSED it the order comes out wrong. This little wimpy waiter dude, who thought he was just God's gift messes up the order. We talk to a manager who apoligize on his behalf and that was it. We then go to the club next door and get escorted up to the VIP private room and the whole place is filled with low hoodrat type people. The girls where dress CHEAP and looked like all the clothes were from Forever 21 and the men looked like they spent there paycheck on the latest phone. JUST A DISGUSTING PLACE. We ended up leaving because it was such a low class crowd. We went over to Sky Bar and had a great time. Social I would re-think who you are letting into this club and I would totally RETRAIN your staff. We ended up spending over $300 in your place and ended up having a horrible time. This place will be done in a few months!

Pros: Nice Dining room

Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE FOOD, and LOW CLASS PEOPLE!

On Tuesday night my girlfriend and I met another couple at the new restaurant at Social called "Citrus" and what a great experience!! We had been to the old restaurant and were hesistant to go, however I been hearing great things so i decided to give it another shot. First of all the room looks SOOOOO much better than before and much more alive. Anyway my gal and I were a bit early so we decided to get a drink at the bar. I was told by a friend to try a cocktail from their list so we both tried a couple and they were simply delicious. Mine was called the "Valentino" and was prepared with basil and white grapes,,,just awesome!! My girlfriend had some kind of blueberry lemonade that was quite refreshing as well. When the couple we were meeting arrived we all sat and thouroughly enjoyed the rest of our experience. Our server was very helpful and recommended a cuttlefish app. that was literally the best. We also agreed the all the entrees we tried were fantastic especially the short ribs and the chicken. Both were so juicy and flavorful. Whoever goes definitly needs to try the french fries, you'll know what I mean when you do. I usually don't leave room for desert but I was warned to because apparently Chef Richard started off as a pastry chef. Our table shared a few and all were terrific especially the one that looks like a mushroom. Overall it was just a fun fun experience. The service and the feel are way better than the old place. This space has an engaging yet intimate flow that when matched with the menu allows for a fun time. I'm recommending Citrus to everybody.

Pros: Great Cocktails, Great Food, Parking on Sunset after 7pm.

Cons: That there's not one on every street corner.

I'm not usually one to write reviews on restaurants, but I had to comment on our fabulous experience at Citrus! The service was fantastic! They were very attentive, without being over bearing, knowledgeable about the menu (everything they suggested was delicious...and the tater tots...you've never tasted anything like it !), and there wasn't a bad table in the house. We've been there 4 times and sat in different places and each time was absolutely wonderful! What more can you ask for...service, food, ambience...I highly highly highly recommend Citris if you're a foodie like us! And definitely save room for dessert...perfect way to end a perfect experience! The Kit Kat...to die for!

Had read little reviews about Citrus opening and Michel Richard's return to L.A. but hadn't found time to check it out until recently. Such a great time! The staff was very welcoming and there doesn't seem to be a bad table in the house. It was mid-week so thankfully there wasn't a line out the door and even though we were a couple minutes late for our reservation we were able to be seated immediately. The waitstaff and managers were wonderfully attentive, but not overbearing in the least. The specialty cocktails were delicious and the biggest problem we had was deciding what to eat because everything looked so good! The warm onion tart with smoked salmon was a great way to start while we decided on the rest of our meal. I ordered the crab appetizer because it sounded unlike anything I'd had before and although not a fan of roasted red peppers, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and texture. The short ribs were so flavorful and tender, I couldn't believe they had been cooked for 72 hours! We were given a suggestion on a wine to pair with our meal and although a little skeptical because it wasn't something we would normally order, we went with it and were definitely rewarded! The pairing was wonderful and complemented both of our meals. Even though we were so full, we couldn't go without at least trying a dessert! The kit kat bar was great and thankfully not too heavy! We really had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to the next chance we have to go back!

Pros: Food and service

Cons: Once people find out how great it is, I'm afraid it won't be so easy to get a reservation, even early in the week!!
