OMG_ Love THIS PLACE!
by marpop
I found out about this place when I recently filmed a TV segment about mini-desserts and boy am I glad I did! The owner Paulette gave me a free box and while I thought I'd save the box til i got home to share, I had pretty much eaten all 12 of the little macaroons by the time I got there! The absolute best flavor is the WEDDING CAKE -- delish with crunchy little almond pieces on top. I used to think Boule was the best in town (their lavender flavor is still tops, but those are seasonal so you can't always get them) but I think Paulette might be my new fave. The macaroons here (which is all they do) are second only to those at the Delano in Miami ... so unless ur planning on heading to South Beach, these will certainly do!
- Pros: Delicious & pretty macaroons
- Cons: You can't eat just one so it can get expensive
At this radiant little Beverly Hills sweet shop, folks can pick macaroons in every color of the rainbow.

In Short
Located on a sunny corner just a few blocks from the flash of Rodeo Drive, this clean, bright shop is a breath of fresh, sweet-smelling air. Owned by Paulette Koumetz, a Parisian transplant and devoted fan of macarons (there's only one "o" in the French spelling), the bakery is overseen by award-winning French pastry chef Christophe Michalak. Rows upon rows of the tiny treats--made by hand daily on-site--pop from beneath the glass display case in vibrant violet, eye-popping pink and other hues that reflect the flavors and essences of the ganache filling. But don't expect a full-on patisserie--Paulette serves macaroons, and macaroons only.
