Heaven on earth !!!
by suepedilla at Citysearch
This place is truly heaven on earth for me and my kids. Thank you ! Thank you !Thank You. If you have kids that are 6 or younger do not go anywhere ells but Giggles N Hugs. You will never feel out of place when you go out to eat with your kids.
I have two kids. A 3 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. We had heard about Giggles N Hugs from a friend who could not stop talking about this place who was insisting that we go and try it. so i called my best friend and her kids and we all went.
Let me start by saying that they have the best and most nutritious food for kids of any restaurant i have been to. You can even sneak veggies into your child's favorite food. They have daily entertainment for kids. Last Sunday they had a group called TWINKLE TIME who is very similar to Doodle bops that performed for an hour as all the kids sang and danced and were mesmerized by the show.
The play area is huge and extremely clean. They had everything a kid could imagine in the play area and more. The staff was genuinely nice and welcoming. I had gone on a play date with my best friend and her kids and i swear we did not speak to any of our kids for two hours as they played, sang, danced, got their faces painted while we enjoyed each others company and gossiped. It was like being out for a ladies night without the kids. To top it all off out of the blue, a beautiful Cinderella came out and took pictures with all the kids and played the parachute game as everyone went into a frenzy.
As i said before, eating out with my kids will never be the same. You must try this incredible Restaurant/play center and see for yourself what Giggles N Hugs is all about. You will thank me later.
- Pros: Clean , safe , beautiful decor , Great food , WIFI
- Cons: There is only one in town
The BEST Restaurant for parents with kids
by Mink1 at Citysearch
I am a mother 4 year old twins. I had been looking for a place like giggles N Hugs since my kids turned 1. This place is truly magical. There is no where in town where i can go with my kids and eat some of the best food i have ever tasted and have my kids play at the same time. I go and turn on my laptop as they have WIFI and get my work done while my kids have the time of there life. As i said the food is great and healthy as they sneak veggies into kids favorite foods. I had a Beet Salad that was as good as if not better than the one i got at Spagos. The staff is unbelievably friendly and the entire place is so beautiful with murals of Mermaids, Tigers and Dinosaurs all over the walls. The play area was filled with all kinds of toys , rides and video games for kids including a Nintendo WII. We got there around 2pm on Friday with only about 10 families there. The Beautiful girls in the play area did some face painting (for FREE i might add) and played games with my twins and the other kids. At about 3pm they asked all the kids to come out of the play area for 20 minutes while they sanitized and cleaned the entire play area. Once they allowed everyone back in we got a chance to meet and take pictures with A few characters in costume ( Mickey and Minnie surprised us). It was magical. We had so much fun that my twins decided that they wanted to stay for Disco night which is every Friday night at 6pm. I have never written a review before but we had so much fun and this place is so great that i had to take the time to let you all know on this and other sites. I also wrote the same review on Yelp to let all the parents know about this incredible oasis for parents with toddlers.
- Pros: Friendly staff, Clean , fun for all , eat while kids play
- Cons: There is only 1
My little girl LOVES this place!
by shaynekedarnadumom at Citysearch
My daughter first came here with her dad and his gf and it must have made a great impression because she was very clear she wanted to "go to Giggles 'N' Hugs" for her birthday. Our family went on a weeknight in rush hour traffic and made it there with a little under a hour to spare. The awesome staff took our order over the phone and had a table with balloons and a placecard with her name on it waiting for us. They didn't seem to mind that we came close to closing time and were very gracious. They also have a cool "free play" weeknight special. The food was good enough (I especially liked my daughter's mac 'n' cheese) and the whole place reminds you of what it was like to be a kid. Not a lot of bells and whistles (I wouldn't recommend for a child over 7) and I could see how it could get ridiculously crowded on a weekend, but overall I was pleased. Again, my daughter LOVES the place, so we'll be back!
- Pros: kid-friendly, happy-happy joy-joy environment
- Cons: none I could see (on a weeknight)
Perfection!

I just came back from this place tonight & can't get it out of my head. I'm in shock that nobody did this years ago & I can't believe there's only 1! We had the BEST dinner, my husband couldn't believe it. He saw the musician on stage and the play area with all the toys and assumed the food wouldn't be good. He had the best panini ever! The guy on stage started to sing kids songs and all the kids started dancing around & singing. It was SO cute. It was like being at a birthday party, but it's just a restaurant. What an amazing staff works there too. The girl in the play area was SO sweet and friendly. I will probably be there every other day...I can even pick up food for my husband!! Awesome place & I'm SO excited I found it. Thank you citysearch!
- Pros: Food, Staff, Valet
- Cons: None in the Valley!
mini disneyland!

we came by last friday night for the first time with high expectations having read up on the website what this place had to offer and i have to say it definitely delivered and more! we came by just before 6pm and a DJ was setting up on stage- we had no idea we'd have such a fun night. The show started promptly at 6 with music and some of my kids favorite games and to top it all off lots of bubbles. I have a girl and a boy and both loved it. My husband was even dancing in the play area with them.
we all ordered food, which was delicious (which you don't tend to get when you enter anywhere that pertains to be "kid friendly or kid oriented". it felt wonderful not to be patronized as a parent with kids that just want to run around while you enjoy a meal out. the staff were very warm and friendly and all seemed to genuinely have as much fun working as the kids had playing.
In the middle of the disco we had a huge surprise as Mickey and MinnieMouse entered together.it was truly magical and so unexpected. A really nice touch as my kids haven't been to Disneyland yet and this was their first experience with live characters! I think the parents could give a knowing smile to the Play Area girls as they mysteriously disappeared before the characters came out.. that's dedication!
I never usually write about restaurants online but as a parent I feel compelled to share my thoughts on a place that has tapped into a previously unfulfilled void in the market for families.
- Pros: unique experience, friendly staff and great food
- Cons: the drive!
Finally
by Maj at Citysearch
This has got to be the only restaurant that both the kids and parents want to go to. I cannot think of another restaurant like that.
Think of it, it keeps the kids busy and it has great food for grown ups and healthy menu for kids as well. Meanwhile, your kid/s are having the time of their lives.
The only drawback is that there is only one location. I would recommend to the owners to establish more locations throughout the city.
- Pros: Great Healthy Food
- Cons: Only one location
LOVED IT!
by leilylabu at Citysearch
I recently met a friend here with my 20 month old son and we loved it. We felt right at home. The staff is extremely nice and accomodating. The food is excellent and the play are is safe and clean with a variety of toys to keep the kids occupied for hours. My son loved it and didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this place to all parents of little ones. It was just so nice to relax, have a cup of coffee, eat lunch and watch my kid play in a safe and fun place. I just wish they'd open one up in Hollywood now closer to where I live.
- Pros: Great Food. Nice and clean play area
CERTAINLY NO GIGGLES OR HUGS AT THIS PLACE...

I was very excited to try Giggles n' Hugs, but completely disappointed and will never go back. I took my friend's child there for his first Birthday as part of our Birthday day together. I was astonished on how over crowded the play area was. I would never have allowed my child to play amongst so many kids crowded in--obviously we did not go in the play area. Isn't there some kind of health code or at least an ethical code by the owner/manager? I personally thought it was way too dangerous. I was also astonished by the high prices for food--that's not including the play area costs and $2.50 for parking. This is not even a full service restaurant. In addition, the food was awful tasting. And, they brought out one meal and 10 minutes later brought out the next--way too long if you have a small child and it was his lunch that came out last! I also was appalled by the patrons eating there. While I understand that $2.50 for a fountain soda is expensive, taking soda in the cups provided for water is not a good lesson to teach your children--both ethically and morally. Everyone around me did this. The worst part of my experience here was the manager/owner who went around to each table asking if they enjoyed their meals and how everything was--except me. I tried to figure out why and realized that I was the only non-Persian eating there and the only person not asked. This is racial discrimination in my book--something I've never experienced and was shocked by. Oh wait, it gets worse. I told said manager/owner that it was the child's Birthday when he announced Elmo was coming out. He did absolutely nothing. Completely non-responsive, unfriendly, and I would have to say--rude. There was obviously no Happy Birthday, no balloon, cookie, cupcake--NOTHING. P.S.. I noticed a helium tank and strings behind the counter. Any other restaurant would have done something. This was the worst customer service I ever experienced. This place does a lot of business and certainly doesn't need mine, but they definitely lost a potential customer and I will continue to let others know my horrific experience here.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Customer Service, Food, Prices, Overcrowded
GROSS

I took my son there for a b-day party, within 10 minutes my son's eyes swelled along with 5 others kids, i thought it was what the cleaned the toys with, and it could have been, harmful chemcial based cleaners, but then i took a closer look and the toys etc, where filthy. wouldn't take my kid there again
- Pros: good idea
- Cons: filthy dirty and expensive
