The dinner was fine - some dishes stood out more than others...but, simple things like an overly dressed salad and a burger that was too messy to eat were notices. The "exclusive lounge" was so lame it is beyond me how anyone can make it seem otherwise. They tried to get my friend to spend $1500 on 3 bottles and one table (small) for 15 ppl....eventually we got one bottle and a crappy table in the corner...and when we went up there was no one dancing....about 30 ppl there and I didn't understand the big deal or the attitude from Bolthouse's girl.

So upon entering Foxtail we were greeted by a suited gentleman who was very helpful and explained the history and theme of the restaurant. He suggested we have a cocktail at the bar and introduced us to a tall dark and handsome bartender named Ben. He was very entertaining and suggested a few drinks for my girlfriends and I. I had the Uva Bella.........FANTASTIC!!!! The wait for the table was not long and soon we were greeted by our server, J.D. He was very flirtatious with all of us and made us laugh. He made some recommendations and we put in our order. The food came out fairly quickly but my lamb was a little undercooked. Everything besides that was as ordered. For dessert, we had bread pudding. It was absolutely amazing!!!! I saw Hillary Duff sitting across from us and thought this must be the place to be. I'm definitely going back.

Pros: Beautiful Decor, Amazing Drinks, Great Service

nice door girl and security.very cranky valet. lots of husky ladies too! seemed like a frat/sorority kind of group.maybe it was an 'off' night?

Pros: close to my house

Got there at 6:30 on a wed evening, nice and early to have a drink at the bar...we were met with the surliest of bartenders who cried that he was swamped with the six people in the entire restaurant at that time. We also gave us "tude" when we asked about the club. We got sat at our table but I should probably say "squat" because the chairs are all so close to the ground that halfway through my 2 hour wait for my meal (don't worry, i'll get to that part soon) my legs were so cramped up i wacked the knees of the person sitting across from me, oh and ps, i am barely 5 feet 6! Onto the food... we quickly placed our bread order (they text it to the kitchen from a pda), even with that technology the bread took forever and the 3 inch crescent shaped rolls (oh and only one each) was burnt. We split the mussels (nice flavor , but a bit over cooked but at least i could soak the burnt bread in the juice to try and bring it to life)...our meals were ordered the same time as the mussels so we expected to get our entree sometime within say AN HOUR, but no...the place was crowding up, the tables were all full and after about an hour of waiting and drinking too much and NOT filling up on burned and soggy bread we started to ask about our meal... "we know, we are so sorry, it is coming" responded the over worked and high pitched server "10 more minutes" she promised...oh now i was really wishing i had gone to Dan Tana's...after another 40 we finally get our dinner, mine the chicken, my friends scallops and lamb..all pretty pedantic food, my scalloped potatoes were so oily and the chicken fatty...the mgr had the nerve to come over to me and whisper (it took so long because your chicken is baked in a way that takes an extra 20 minutes) what the EFF was that?? Anyway they gave us a free dessert (i liked the panecotta tasted like a creamsicle, but it was warm which is just wrong, and the breadpudding was burned...just dont go, my knees still hurt and i was starving afterwards!

It took over an hour and a half to get some of our food and we didn't get our side dishes until after we finished our meals! The waiter didn't apologize for the terrible service once. Do not go here!!!!

The atmosphere was neat and the drinks were great, but that's about it. The food was mediocre at best. Very snotty...but with nothing to back it up.

You know these people are full of themselves when they tell you at the door you can "try to get upstairs to the lunge". Unless you are so some old D-bag with lots of money and nasty flousys crawling all over you, think again about getting in upstairs. Then think to yourself, do you even want to go to a place like this?!

I was a little nervous about our resturaunt selection because of the reviews on this site. We had a great experience here. The service was great and I thought the food was perfect. Our server recommended a chicken dish that was great. Desserts were unbelievable. I thought the price was good and well worth the visit. Never had to wait for the bathroom (went twice), I will be back soon. The club upstairs was great as well, there were a lot of celebrities there, I think they were filming an episode of Americas next top model. Too many beautiful girls to count, awesome party. I am not a high maintenance customer like some of the other reviews. I think they were looking for ways to complain. You should watch the movie "Waiting".

Dont waste your time or money at this place because you will spend a lot of both!! Took an hour and half to get our food and when it came it was cold and not good. I dont want to waste anymore time on this place so I will just say ....SKIP IT!!!!! Awful food and service!!!

Cons: service, food, two bathrooms for the whole place!!

How does this place have 4 stars on citysearch when everyone who has written a review has given it 1 star! Don't waste your time or money on this place. We spend over $150/person and left hungry because we could not eat our disgusting food. First our dinner arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes after we ordered. The lobster salad was raw and inedible. One person had to send her steak back twice because it was rare and she ordered well done ( I ordered medium rare and got rare but was too hungry to send it back). Desert was the only saving grace the bread pudding was great.

Pros: food service everything!!!
