Great good, good service, good prices what more can one ask for?

I had been passing this place on the way back home for a couple of weeks and, on a Sunday night, decided to stop in and try it. The decor, from the outside, always looked interesting and I had been looking for a cool place. Came in and was helped by an incredibly nice, helpful server. Got a chicken sausage dog, some fries and corn on the cob. All were fantastic. The fries, as said by others, are amazing. The dog was really solid. Just the right about of spice. Corn on the cob was good too. All that for 12 bucks. Sure, it isn't a 5 dollar value meal but, then again, you get what you paid for. I would gladly pay the same amount for good food and great service. Seems like most places have forgotten about both those things. Anyway, I highly recommend this place. Already told my friends about it and I think we'll be going back next weekend. Want to try their burgers and shakes.
The flavors of Brooklyn at Beverly Hills prices.

In Short
For customers nostalgic for the simple feel-good food of a mid-century Brooklyn luncheonette, Marty D's has re-created the experience smack in the middle of Beverly Hills. Black and white parquet floors and brightly-colored countertops give the room a bouncy, 50s feel, and the menu will definitely appeal to your taste buds, if not your cardiologist. 8 inch hot dogs are the main course -- pair them with fries, a knish, baked beans, or corn on the cob. Classic soda fountain specialties like egg creams, cherry-lime rickeys, and sundaes will kick your blood-sugar levels into overdrive.
Hits: The interior decoration is spot-on, and the neighborhood needed another place for casual dining.
Misses: Prices, prices, and prices - asking $8 for a hot dog takes a some of the low-key fun out of the luncheonette experience; the lack of alternatives to hot dogs may leave some diners wishing for a healthier option.
Love It

Happened to go in the other day because Chipotle was way too packed. Love the decor, friendly service. Hot dog was a little too well done the first time, second time was perfection. The fries are AMAZING, not too soggy, not too crispy. Cole Slaw with horseradish is great, but the side they give you with the hot dog is TOO small, so get an extra side. The desserts are ok, didn't send me over the edge. But everything together is really really amazing.
- Pros: The delicious food, the fries and the decor
- Cons: Service, Desserts
