Great place for FOODIES

by lorena_t at Citysearch

I went to Breadbar Century City before catching a movie last week and the food was really great! We had a bread basket which came with three spreads.Their cheese bread was probably the best. For my entree, I had the Vandouvan Lamb Curry which was YUMMIIIII definitely something to try. My husband had the Bentobar which basically comes with a bit of everything; he got a soup, salad, tower sandwich and dessert served on one wooden board.

To our surprise they had a wine and beer bar with a decent selection.

The decor is modern and original and the service is friendly. This is definitely a place I will come back to.

  • Pros: Best Bread in Town
  • Cons: No full bar

Breadbar

This place has pretty decent food. They're salad and sandwiches are good. But I don't think the price fits the taste. Too expensive for little portions.

Good date spot

by ntdang at Citysearch

If you're waiting for a movie at the theaters, this is a great place for you and your date to pick up a quick meal... Nice, sleek, (romantic) and modern decor, attentive service, and nice ambiance. Downsides are that the food is pretty basic, and expensive for that matter. 3 stars.

  • Pros: Great for a quick meal before a movie
  • Cons: A little pricy, food just ok

Carb cravers, beware: Third Street's beloved bakery-bistro has found another home at the Westfield shopping mall in Century City.

by Mar Yvette at Citysearch

Known for its long list of salads, soups, sandwiches and, oh yes, ever-growing variety of freshly made breads, this casual homage to the doughy staple is giving mall hounds a place to get their carb fix. Stroller pushers, dudes in suits (part of the nearby Century City corporate crawl) and everyone in between vie for a table underneath the outdoor patio umbrellas. Inside, folks can sit at one of the booths or wood tables while ogling the bread bar that has just about every version imaginable, from a rustic millstone loaf to sheets of parmesan lavash. Amazingly, the simplest recipes are used--just flour, water, leavening and salt--combined, of course, with the bakers'skill.
