It's sad to see that blvd 16 needs to post their own postitive reviews. ..almost as sad as this "essentially a hotel restaurant sort of place, with cuisine to match.
Seriously -- overpriced and simply not worth it.
- Pros: I you're staying at the palomar, you won't starve
- Cons: Might as well be a denny's
Terrible service, confused staff

I was excited to check out this new restaurant in our neighborhood, especially after reading about the poolside dining (which sounded lovely for a hot sunny Sunday afternoon). I called and confirmed that they were serving brunch until 2pm, that we could eat by the pool, and that it would be an appropriate place for an upscale family meal. I made a reservation on Open Table & looked forward to dining there. We arrived promptly at our 1:45pm reservation time, but they lost our reservation, told us that poolside dining was only available for hotel guests, that they stopped serving brunch at noon (huh?) and were only serving their bar menu. Arrrgh! We asked them what they suggested, and the hostess actually said (no kidding) "Well, we could give you some rolls or something for you to take out". What?!? What a fiasco. Add to that the fact that it was dark, dreary and deserted at a time when everywhere else in Westwood is mobbed. We won't be back.
Knowledgeable Staff and Excellent Cuisine

Ate at BLVD 16 a few weeks ago. It was a special occasion and they made us feel amazing. Not only did they treat us to a glass of champagne with strawberries, they also used our names throughout the meal which made us feel special.
Chef Dolinky knows what hes doing and is delivering great flavors in a relaxed setting and style. The seasonal menu is a great way to experience his original take on modern american cuisine.
Overall, BLVD 16 is surely a step in the right direction for dinning in Westwood and should certainly be tried.
- Pros: Amazing interior; great speciality cocktails; knowledgable staff
- Cons: Little Loud
Seasonal American fare and gorgeous serenity in Westwood's posh Palomar boutique hotel.

In Short
Inside this sprawling boutique-hotel restaurant, property guests and visitors are welcomed by smiling faces ... and lush, earthy tones in deep reds and chocolates, warm golds and wheat. Chef Simon Dolinky's menu of seasonal, sustainably grown fare seems a fitting complement to the space's soft light and even softer music from somewhere above. Waiters attentively tend to the large room, bringing out starters like English pea ravioli with cippolini onions and butter sauce, and crispy fried local calamari. Entrees, prepared with an eye toward eco-conscious ideals and organic ingredients, range from seafood and pasta to roasted chicken with lightly sauteed dandelion greens and grilled natural ribeye steak.
