I'm new to the world of scrapbooking, but I'm having a blast doing it thanks to Millie Papercrafts. I've had a bundle of pictures and mementos from a trip I took to Europe in 1999 which have been sitting in the closet in a boring photo album. Jen at Millie Papercrafts gave me some great tips on how to get started compiling my first scrapbook. She helped me pick out a wonderful book (it matches my coffee table) and some basic supplies to get started. She showed me some tricks on how to put pages together and make them look nice (including how to make pockets to hold tour-pamphlets from locations I had visited). It has been super-fun to go back down memory lane and remember my trip as I go through my pictures and my travel diary. I’m planning to start work on a scrapbook for all my concert tickets and band-related memorabilia I have. Millie Papercrafts has these awesome background pages with black and pink skulls on them which will be perfect for that project. Jen has several samples of projects she has worked on using products she carries in the store and they are quite clever and inspirational. BTW – it is great to get to meet Millie herself (Jen’s cute puggle).

Pros: Super helpful staff & nice variety of products.

Cons: Street parking could be tough at certain hours on weekedays (I haven't had a problem on Sundays)

I’m new to scrapbooking but have to say it is one of the hottest trends! It’s a great way to recycle all the stuff you can’t bear to throw away. I recently pulled together concert tickets, pictures, a card, menu, buttons and more into a scrapbook for my boyfriend. I accented the pages with embellishments and was able to preserve sentimental things that otherwise would have been considered junk. A gift of love sure beats all those mass-produced items from the mall and will continue to give over the years!
