High end restaurant at reasonable prices

I've been to the restaurant twice for lunch now and its shone both times. Friendly, competent service. Good food. Lovely ambiance. Parking at lunch has never been a problem - even during the holiday lunch period. Recently, had dinner here and can only reiterate my earlier praise. Service was impeccable and food pleased the entire table of six.
- Pros: Food and Service
- Cons: Nothing important
Lovely Surprise in Downtown Burbank

We fell in love with this restaurant after being invited to a special event dinner that was held here. The service was attentive but unpretentious, the surroundings elegant yet still casual. The food was exceptional. 24 of us all agreed, and there were only one or two minor issues which is amazing for such a large party. The kicker was the live entertainment, a songman doing American standards and the Sinatra songbook. Made for a lovely evening, do check if he is there still on Fridays and Saturday.......we've been twice since and have enjoyed bass, seafood linguini, filet, and Boeuf Bourginion (a house specialty). In the bar, you'll fall in love with the bistro pizza. If you're looking strictly for a five-star experience, this is probably not the place for you....it has more the feel of a friendly neighborhood bistro, I've seen someone else describe it as a cross between "Cheers" and "Bogie's Bar", on a side street in Paris (errrr....umm...I meant BURBANK!) Oh, and would highly recommend for a birthday/anniversary/group gathering....I was told it came in much le$$ than the old standby across town, and we certainly had a lot more fun than we'd had in years past.
- Pros: Vocalist on weekends, nice wine list, extremely friendly
- Cons: Menu doesn't change much/ no "daily specials"

Beautiful restaurant with gourmet food at affordable prices.
The Gnocchi appetizer and the Ahi Tuna salad appetizer are highly recommended. The French onion soup is one of the best of had.
When we were there on a weekend, there was a live singer that sang Sinatra type music. Very classy, very tasty, very recommended.
Carefully-prepared and reasonably priced bistro fare in the heart of Burbank.

In Short
Having created a bistro in the old Lasher's Steakhouse space, Joachim Splichal-alum Miki Zivkovic has retained the imposing look of his predecessor while giving the menu a full-on makeover. Through the somewhat pedestrian office-park exterior is the main entrance, outlined by large racks of wine. The restaurant opens into three separate dining areas, where spacious booths are decorated in rich shades of brown. The dark wood accents in the dining room and bar anchor the almost-eerie lighting and stark black-and-white flooring, while the menu soothes with classic bistro favorites like endive salad, roast chicken with fries and beef bourguignon.
