Great Persian Food
by JonSoleymani
You know you're at a great persian restaurant, when there are Persian people eating dinner. One of the best, most authentic Persian cuisine's around, Javan is great!
Be sure to ask for a doggy bag, because you're going to have extra food!
- Pros: Great authentic food, lots of food choices
- Cons: none

Just Average
by magiceyes
I have been here a few times and was always happy when I dined in. However, couple of weeks ago we ordered food from them, since I work close by. It took them over 1 hour to deliver and their excuse was that they took our food to somone else by mistake and they had to go back and get it. The food itself was cold by the time it got to us and the steak kabob (barg) was raw and not well cooked. In addition, they had not provided any butter with the rice.
- Pros: Nice atmosphere
- Cons: Slow delivery. Steak Kabob not well cooked.
GREAT SERVICE/ GREAT FOOD/ VERY NICE PEOPLE
by sammy_kain
Javan is the best Persian Restaurant in the world. The food is always great. When you tell them you want your food to be well done or juicy it will be exactly what you wanted. The servers are always clean/ cute/ handsome/ and hot men and women. The parking is not a problem like other restaurants and i wish you get the chance to go there at least once in your life.
Best Persian Food in West LA.

This is by far the best persian food I have ever ate. Prices are just right and the abundance of food is awesome. The piano guy could be annoying so ask for a table to the right side facing the entrance. There is enough parking on the side streets and very close to 3rd Street Promenade.
OK food, Horrible Service....
by puran_sugar
The food is OK, you can get this in many Kabob restaurants with not much variance (I can name 10 in Westwood area). I will never return here, my friend had a pebble in her rice which almost broke her teeth, it brought tears to her eyes, I asked the server to get the manager, manager comes, I explain what happens, his reply: Well this is part of the rice that is hard to clean and then he jokes, I will not charge you for it. Not funny, not even an apology, well they can keep it.
- Cons: Horrible service

The food was pretty good but there are restaurants who serve better food for the same price. The meat for the filet mignon kabob that I ordered was moist and juicy but the rice was somewhat dry. Parking is a little difficult but manageable.
I would be a repeat customer
by crazylegs1868
The ambiance was decent, but we thought the food was above average and rather good. The kabobs were moist, tender, and flavorful. The appetizers we got were the 'fried rice' with a pomegranate on top and eggplant puree with fresh onions on the side. The baklava was a bit sweet though. Service was mediocre, they could be a bit better considering the ambiance and price...ie making us box our own leftovers and being a bit slow and irregular with the water
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Parking
