I will use them again

I called on a Monday to schedule services for Wednesday - I was worried that I wasn't allowing enough time, but Russell took care of everything! We were switching around some offices and we needed help moving some file cabinets and furniture from one room to another. This was a pretty small project, so it only took a little over an hour. The team (3 guys) was fast, courteous and efficient! Unfortunately we still had to pay for the minimum 3 hours even though our project took half that time - but Russell warned me about this up front (and most of the other companies I called had the same type of minimum). I would definitely use this company again (but I'll wait until I have enough work to fill the full 3 hours :)).

Very accomodating!

I was very impressed with these movers. The last company I used to move charged me an arm and a leg. These guys were upfront, told me there were no hidden fees and gave me all the prices over the phone. They even recommended that they shrink wrap some of the art I have that my grandmother left me to make sure that it was moved with no damage.

There costumer service needs improvment as well as their sales team....

Good commercial move

Needed six movers to come pack up and move all the contents of my restaurant over to a new space. It was very important to me that the company was legit and had insurance. I can attest that the movers did a great, careful job.

Nice customer service

I spoke to the rep on the phone for a while with all my questions, then I called back a few times, and each time she was so nice and friendly on the phone. Their customer service is really superb.

Last minute move on New Years Eve

I booked a company to move me out of my place on the 31st, and just found out today that they are actually closed on that day. I called around and everyone was either booked or closed. The manager at this company actually called all his movers, and found two of his team that were willing to come help me out tomorrow. I am very grateful.

I laughed so hard when I saw all of this perfect reviews- Not gay friendly

Too bad you can't give zero stars. These people are scam artists. They steal and damage your items. I had a horrible experience with them, I found out the hard way that these guys are notoriously bad business people. I had planned to pay the balance via credit card, which was arranged in the beginning since I would be out of town. My boyfriend was going to accept delivery. At the last minute they refused to accept a credit card and asked that I mail them cash!! Who mails cash?? My boyfriend gave them a check and filed a complaint. The next time I hired movers, they too recapped horror stories they have heard concerning Melrose Moving. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

Russell, I've been meaning to call you, but have not gotten a chance. Thanks for recommending three movers instead of two to move my place. Those stairs do take a lot of time to go up and down on. So, I appreciate your advice, it really sped up my move.

Professional piano movers

Melrose, thanks for moving my piano. The moving men took the legs apart really carefully and wrapped them, and moved it over to the person I sold it to. They were careful just like I asked them to be.

Offer supplies and services free that others charge for

I found Melrose Moving and read stuff on their website. I was impressed to see they offer things that other companies normally charge for the use of: like wardrobe boxes and moving blankets. That made me like them right away. Also, the movers actually took apart my bed, shelf and desk so it can fit in my doorway, and then reassembled them in my house I moved to. They didn't even charge extra for that!

• Pros: hard-working and no extra charges
• Cons: Don't move out of state
