Best Pizza in LA!!!!!!! Bar none!!!!!
by Jack Worthing at Citysearch
You're mad RSpitz. Have you forgotten your roots?!
This is quintessential New York Pizza!!! I grew up in NY. I'd walk to Joe's a few days a week. NY doesn't have just one kind of slice. There's a Ray's slice. Doughier. Cheesier. Not as good. Sounds like you're used to that. Joe's in NY went from being a little neighborhood pizza place no one knew about, to a little neighborhood pizza place regarded by many as the best in NY. This LA branch (run by the 3rd gen. of the family) is the best in LA.
- Pros: The pizza
- Cons: none
Overrated!! Expensive! This is NOT NY Style Pizza!
by RSpitz at Citysearch
I am not sure who writes all these reviews but my experience has been very different than other people below. Maybe because this place is NOT Cristoni anymore and all the comments below refer to Cristoni.
Pizza is very average, with very little cheese and topings but is certainly expensive. I lived on Gates and Bedford Ave in Brooklyn New York and know NY Pizza! This is not even close to NY style pizza. Too thin crust, too little cheese and not enough toppings.
There are certainly better pizza joints in West Hollywood!
Get real guys! Will Not Try again!
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: Average Pizza, Expensive
Solid pizza joint
by eriklarsen at Citysearch
This is not a super fancy pizza joint but a solid pizza place at that, not too many varieties but everything is good and the service is quite friendly. Can sometimes see Chris there who is always very cordial to customers, true gentleman, and gives a great relaxed welcoming vibe to the place. Not sure if they deliver but if you live in the area it's definitely the best pizza around and deserves to do well.
- Pros: great pizza, perfect crust, reasonable prices, home like atmosphere
- Cons: sauces and cheese could be more flavorful if you are very finicky
A HIDDEN GEM FOR TRUE PIZZA LOVERS
by crooklynboy at Citysearch
I grew up in brooklyn eating at places like L&B SPUMONI GARDENS. Never did i think after all my years in LA i would ever taste a pizza worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence.. CRISTONI is simply the best pizza around!! The crust is perfectly crisp.. The cheese and the sauce are so delicious!! They must import the water. Anyway, i'm so happy it was recomended to me.. By far my new favorite place!!
- Pros: ADDICTIVE
- Cons: ADDICTIVE
Cristonis Has Done it Right, Wow!
by Hugo90210 at Citysearch
Cristonis is by far the best pizza in L.A. The sauce which is what really makes a pizza a Good Pizza is to die for. It has to be home made. Then there's the thin crispy crust. Yum Yum. With all the transplanted New Yorkers in LA you would think someone would have gotten it right before Cristonis, but Nope. Cristonis has done it, and done it right. I can't comment on any of the other food as I never make it past wanting anything other than the pizza. Good Job Cristonis, my taste buds have never been happier.
Oh yeah, parking is easy. The place is spotless. You can eat off of the floor. There are great tables out doors, and there's nothing better than sitting outside people watching. There's hotties walking everywhere.
Damn, is it open now?
- Pros: The Pizza, Ambience, Cleanliness, Choice of Sodas, Seating, and People Watching
- Cons: My Weight Gain
Best Pizza Ever

Honestly the pizza is amazing, I tried their new "Grandma" thin crust and it was unbelievable...their Ravioli was also really good...and I'm picky!
- Pros: FOOD
The Best Pizza In L.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by billyzoro at Citysearch
I love Cristoni pizza, this place has the best pizza in LA. I am a pizza expert and lover and it shows:) I used to eat at Vitos but this place puts Vitos away!!!, both for taste and value. There pies are fresh and cooked perfectly, thin crust just like a NY pie should be like. The guy behind the counter was cool and hooked me up with 2 pieces for the price of one, was a lunch special and a great value. This will be our new favorite spot.
- Pros: good old school pies
- Cons: none
Cristoni Pizzeria's fourth-generation pizza maker tosses up an authentic and delicious New York style menu for patrons to enjoy.
by Matthew Allard at Citysearch
In Short
What do "Entourage" star Kevin Connolly, Boston Celtic Sam Cassell and L.A. Clipper Cuttino Mobley have in common? Aside from being well-known names, they share a love for pizza. And together they own Cristoni Pizzeria, a small slice of Sunset Strip gold that's tucked back in, of all places, a strip mall. Despite its digs on one of L.A.'s ritziest boulevards, the joint keeps things casual. Patrons order from the menu (simple hanging chalkboards) and then squeeze into one of only 3 black leather booths. Things get a bit fancier in the kitchen, however, with fourth generation pie slinger, Enrico Sautto, who was trained in Naples, Italy. His thin and stuffed crust pizzas span everything from the expected margherita and biancho to the bolder pizza tartufo with shaved black truffles, porcini mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.
Great Pizza! Just like back east!!!

Cristoni reminds me of the great neighborhood pizzerias back in the New York area where I was born and grew up. The kind that can be found on most street corners in Manhattan. It has great thin and Sicilian pizza that has a crisp crust, tangy pizza sauce and cheese that stretches for miles. The friendly pizza chef from Naples convinced me to try for the first time his pizza with ricotta and basil and it was amazing. I still love simple pies, like Margherita or my personal favorite Italian sausage, mushrooms and fresh basil - and Cristoni scored a home run with both. They have a few specialty drinks that add to the treat. So this will become one of those pizzerias that I go back to over and over to get a quick couple of slices for lunch or order a few pies to take home for a movie night. It's real easy to park underneath, which you can't do at any of the other pizzerias on Sunset. Try it!!!
- Pros: Great food, easy parking, good value!
- Cons: None yet?
