If you see this place while your driving, don't stop!!

So, we tried this place due to the many rave reviews here, and I'm not sure those people went to the same restaurant! So, I had to write a review to warn everybody.This place used to be called the Pistacio Grill, and it seems that many of the reviewers went there when it was under the old owners who then sold it to a guy who named it the Ruby Room. Of course, I can't comment on the Pistacio Grill, but let me say the Ruby Room is awful! First off we went there on a Saturday night and there was only one couple there besides us which was kinda cool, but now I know why it was so easy to get a table. The food was in small portions, we ordered the kebab and rice and there was barely any rice on the plate, the salad that came with it had this awful dressing and the taste overall was very bland. The yogurt dip tasted like it had been left out and slightly spoiled...should I go on? Can't say that anything we ordered was good. To make matters worse, the place was dirty!! I looked over at the bench I was sitting on and it had a dirty sock on it!!! No joke!! About six inches away from me, should have just left then since that was an indication as to the lack of sanitation of this place. And, the waiter/owner kept putting his thumb in our food as the served it!!! I don't like making scenes or being rude so I didn't say anything but come on now that's gross!! When it came time to pay the bill, it was ridiculously high for the level of service and food we got, total rip! In closing don't believe the other reviewers just pass on this place and go somewhere else!! Unless you enjoy bad service and food..

great palce to have kabob and best salmon everrr....

RUBY ROOM RERAURANT HAS THE BEST KABOB AND THE BEST SALMON IN TOWN. THEY R SO DELICIOUS WITH GOOD QUALITY OF MEAT AND FISH. THE SERVICE IS GREAT. THEY HAVE THE BEST VERIETY OF SLADS AND SOUPS. LOVE GOING THERE AND I ENJOY THEIR FOOD ALOT. ALSO THIER PRICES ARE SO REASONABLE THAT ANYONE COULD EFFORT.

I love this place!!

This is the best Persian restaurant I've ever been to.

I love their food! The kebabs are perfectly cooked and flavoured! I had the lamb chops the first time I eat there. It was to die for. Their chicken breast and Salmon is excellent. And the eggplant dip.. DELICIOUS!!! You should definietly try this place. You'll keep coming back! The service is friendly, the place is very romantic and cute and the food is just everything its supposed to be!

YAY!! Finally a Persian restaurant with the whole package!

delicious persian food in a cozy atmosphere

I am addicted to Ruby room now since I go there a lot. It is near to my work and it is very convenient to be there in 2 minutes. I can get varieties of things including very good sandwiches. They have good Italian and French dishes as well. I have gone at night too. It is very nice and pleasant. I like to take to recommend this place to anybody to try it. Their price is very good and their kebabs are phenomenon.

Exquisite Medeterranian Cuisine

The food is presented in such a good quality, I like the service it was quick, friendly and very welcoming. Tahdig is superb with it's 3 different kind of stew... I tried them all and l loved it! The serving is satisfying... I will without any doubt recommend Ruby Room to all my friends and my community in LA.

Ruby Room is quite a romantic place to dine in day & night...

This is the best persian food in LA

It was a magnificent food with excellent service. They have an open menu with varieties of Persian food. I have heard about their quality and I have a friend who orders a lot from this place. We had an office lunch with them the other days with varieties of their sandwiches and kebabs and four kinds of rices which they were amazing. We are trying to book our Christmas party of our office with them now. Every one loved their food. The owner took our order and he sent us some complimentary appetizers as well. They are very generous. The vegetarian dishes give you an option to eat there if you are not a meat eater. Let?s party at Ruby room soon!!!

If you want to try the good quality persian food !!!

It is all about good food good service.I have been in so many persian restsaurnats in LA and NY.This one is by far better than the others.This is the place to book your birthday party and be happy at the end.I love the family style packges they offer so you can try a little bit of everything.The food is flavored and very mild seasoned.Try them out so you become addicted!ha ha.

Really Great!!!

The food was perfect. I had the chicken, persian rice, cabbage w/meat, and 2 deserts. Of course I didn't eat it all my self, but I was with a friend and we had to try everything. The owner even brought us a sample of his chicken pasta. All I have to say is that everything was delicious! I'm recommending this place to anyone who needs a catering. And can you believe that all of the food is organic! I was shocked and probably that's why it's soooo good! You have to try it at least once. You'll be hooked...

I really enjoyed eating there for the first time.they are very professional and the food is the best in town.I loved their lamb kebab.It is very cute place in hidden building on whilshire.You must try them.

Best Service and great food

I visited this place with one of my best friend.We had a sandwich and lamb chops and a sea bass plate to share.I can say it was the best seabass and lamb chops that I have ever had.Their portions are huge and generous and the quality is very good.The service is like a 5 star hotel and waiters are professional and sweet.If you are in LA ,you have to try their food for lunch or dinner.Their lunch special menu is very reasonable and fair.I still think by far their foods are different than other places.
