Terrible - this place will keep you sick or make you die

Absolutely the worst experiences have come from this place. I have a family member who is in the late stages of cancer and they made so many mistakes along the way, I have no doubt had we been able to afford other private insurance, he would have extended his quality of life. They always try to kick a patient out early, despite the instability of the patient, I witnessed nurses stabbing half-concious patients repeatedly in the arm trying to find veins with patients eventually yelling in pain, but the nurse wouldn't stop and was obviously frustrated with the patient. Finally, and thankfully, another nurse came in and wondered what was going on and she kindly told the other nurse how to do it, then showed her. Ive had residents and doctors make terrible mistakes on my family member - almost fatal mistakes and of course there's no way to keep track of anyone because each patient gets a new doctor every two weeks - how the hell can anyone provide excellent care under those circumstances??? The hospital rooms are filthy and the nurses and staff always look to be on break. They always have excuses if you ask them a question - like "well, I'm not his nurse." Wow. Thanks. All in all, do not take any of your loved ones here. If all you have is kaiser, then you have to do all the work. If it were not for my family staying 24/7 in the ICU to make sure my family member had his tube cleaned, his mucous suctioned, he would have been in a worse state. And this is unconcious!!! I've witnessed terrible service here consistently - in the CCU, ICU and general care as well as emergency. The staff are impatient, rude and easily annoyed. The doctors seem extremely incompetent for the most part and have no bedside manner. After 3 years, I only met one doctor who was kind and compassionate enough to treat my family member like a human being. The other doctors were company men. dont go here - you will stay sick or die.They don't want you to be well.
