This is my favorite vintage store yet.
by chaparrelle
This is my favorite vintage store yet. The atmosphere + people are friendly and the prices are fair, what more do you need? Oh yeah maybe cute clothes, no worries, they've got you covered.
The location is also amazing! Right in the heart of happening 'Vermont Ave'. Next door to a french cafe, a book store with everything, and an inexpensive movie theater.
Aside from the beach, this is the only thing I miss about L.A.

I adore this store and I am quite surprised to see that others have found it expensive (unless they have jacked up the prices since I moved away). In the time I lived in L.A. I bought nearly every item of clothing there. I live in Austin now, which claims to have great vintage shopping, but always seems to fall short for me. I miss Squaresville!
Squares need not apply: Vintage threads at this Los Feliz shop range from ironic to fashion forward, with a whole lot of funky thrown into the mix.

In Short
Beneath the disco ball, you'll find racks of standard consignment finds like denim, curdoroy, Western shirts and plenty of plaids. But this is thrift done hip, so expect to find bowling shirts and Jordache jeans sharing rack space with sequined tops, Mickey Mouse turtlenecks, tassled velvet ponchos and the like. There are also accessories galore, including enough hats, ties, handbags and jewelry to keep Eastsiders outfitted for ages. Upstairs, you'll find a nice shoe selection, where retro kicks like white LA Gear high tops and duck boots (remember those?) are lined up next to Frye boots and DKNY flats. As with any vintage shop, the selection varies with each visit, so finding that piece de resistance for your wardrobe may take a little digging.
Funky digs in uber-hip neighborhood

While I always found something to die for at this chic Los Feliz spot, I always paid more than I wanted for used clothing. Don't miss the newly expanded upstairs section, killer shoes and hats.
