JUST LIKE HOME!!!
by astghash at Citysearch
I LOVE this place. I go there so often now I know most of the menu by heart. Breakfast: try the strawberry pancakes with the SPECIAL sauce. Lunch and Dinner. Can't ask for more. Dress it up or go in your pj's it feels good either way. The atmosphere is wonderful for you and your pets.
- Pros: FOOD!!! Drinks! Chill waiters! Great Ambience
- Cons: Make reservations for Sunday Brunch!
Best Service in town!
by creativeali at Citysearch
I just got home from dinner at Home, and it by far had the best service ever. I ordered some pizza, and the waitress thought I said I wanted peppers, not pepperoni, and when they brought it out, and I told them that I don't eat peppers, they were more than happy to accommodate and fix the problem. They brought me out a piping hot fresh pizza within minutes and comp-ed the pizza for me. Everyone that worked there was really friendly, and they refilled our glasses constantly. At the end of the meal, I accidentally left my togo box at the table, and one of the servers chased me down and gave it to me, a block and a half away from the restaurant. I will definitely come back here! =)
- Pros: Incredible service, great food, great ambiance
- Cons: Smoking outside

Go with the original

This restaurant is known for good food at good prices. It's also known for long lines. A lot of us were excited when they opened a second location on Fletcher and Riverside. Trust me, it's better to wait on the hot sidewalk. It's amazing that the same concept and menu can be so different. The problem is the service. I've been in there twice and it is unreal that so many employees cannot take care of a few tables. One thing you see at the original location is a manager walking around. No such luck at the new spot. Maybe that's why there is no direction.
- Pros: Good food and service at original location
- Cons: You can't duplicate sometimes. New spot is bad.
HORRIBLE Customer Service, Food was Average
by greennanny at Citysearch
We ordered two salads, chocolate cake and lemonade for delivery the other night. The initial phone order was met with a rushed and an unpleasant voice and two returning phone calls by the staff. The second call was regarding our order, somehow they misplaced our order and the third phone call was asking for our credit card info again. We were told our food was on the way. Great. However, an hour and a half later we were still waiting for our two salads. When they finally showed up we were so excited about the bag of food that we failed to notice we never received our lemonade. Yet another phone call was made and we were told the delivery driver forgot and would turn around. About 20 minutes later ANOTHER phone call was made to inform us the delivery driver was too busy to bring our lemonade so next time we come in to the restaurant we can have two free lemonades... WTF?!? They charged our credit card, took nearly 2 hours and 5 phone calls to deliver two vegetarian salads and piece of chocolate cake 2 miles from their restaurant and refused to credit our card the $6 for the lemonade? Never again.
- Pros: It's right down the street from Alcove and Mustard Seed so you can support those restaurants instead
- Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE, Average Food, did I mention HORRIBLE SERVICE?
Good food, run away if they are busy

Went to Home a few weeks ago on a Sunday evening. I ordered the almond chicken salad sandwich on a crescent roll. It took forever to get my food and the waiter had to go back into the kitchen and resubmit the order. When the food did arrive it was fantastic and I would order it again. Because of the delay the waiter was nice enough to comp my meal and even tossed in a free dessert. I would recommend Home, just avoid it when they are really busy.
- Pros: Great food, very cool patio.
- Cons: The wait for your food if they are busy.
wait staff needs to pick up the pace!!

I went to Home for the first tine last night with my boyfriend and our 2 friends. Upon arrival I was very pleased - I had never heard of it and didn't know what to expect. It reminds me of the restaurant at the pirates of the caribbean in Disneyland. We were Seated almost immediately. But that's as far as the good service went. Although our waiter was friendly, we waited at least 10 minutes before we even had our drink order taken. By that time we had all decided what we wanted. After about 5 minutes we started to wonder where the drinks were. When we got the attention of our waiter, it still took a few more minutes to get a soda and a simple mixed drink to our table. When the food arrived there were 3 dishes placed on our table - and there were four people in our party. The waiter didn't even acknowledge that my boyfriend's meal was missing. He just ordered a sausage omlett. The waiter never came around to ask how everything was so we got the attention of the hostess and let her know we were missing some food. 15 minutes later, a pasta dish arrived. Obviously not what we expected. it took another 15 minutes for his actual dish to come out. They didn't even put the peppers on the side like he asked.
I got the caramelized apple salad with chicken which i enjoyed, and i tasted my friend's ravioli. Now THAT was incredible. I would come back only for that reason. All in all it was a frustrating experience. I'll give it one more chance eventually, but if i get the same service again they'll be losing a few customers.
- Pros: ravioli is to die for, great ambiance
- Cons: service was terrible
Comfort Food
by bunny323 at Citysearch
The food is delicious, but should be served with a heart monitor! Yummy comfort food.... so don't plan on counting calories here. Also, most of the restaurant is outside. Which on a warm summer day is nice, but at any other time can be somewhat annoying.
- Pros: Yummy food
- Cons: Outside
Quaint and good food

This is a lovely place to go have lunch with a friend as the atmosphere is enjoyable and the food is good. Nothing most people couldn't easily whip up at home, but good all the same.
I love going "Home"

Great place, great ambience, and terrific food. Its a worthwhile visit in the summers when its warmer to be seated in their outdoor patio area and watch the cars go by. Lovely and cozy restaurant with great service.
