If you enjoy being scammed, take a Starline Bust Tour. I spent $37 for a creepy man with an annoying sense of humor to drive me around for an hour and 15 minutes. The tour was supposed to be for two hours. We stopped at a yellow house on Lexington Drive in Beverly Hills, which the tour guide said was a new six month old house built by Jennifer Lopez. The house is actually owned by a man with the name J. Lopez, who is infact not JLo. Also, be aware there are different routes the buses take, so if you are dying to see a particular star's home and they take another route, well your just out of luck. After paying $37 and feeling really ripped-off, i had to pay another $10 for parking. What a waste of money and time.

Cons: Everything

We're from the East Coast. Our introduction was to sit on the tour bus with Little Larry chatting with Richard who was our tour bus driver. Little Larry.....What an excellent person....excellent personna....REALLY. The tour was a hoot, Richard a character, Little Larry, had another tour so left us. Great tour. Laughed alot. An unfortunate thing did happen, not as far as the tour, but as far as having our 16 year old daughter with us & her abscentmindness. She was so excited to get to LA & the Gruman Chinese theater area...she bought an expensive dress in one of the boutiques on the plaza with her own hard earned money. In our excitement of looking for STARS & their homes, she forgot her package on the tour bus. We didn't realize it until we left LA to Newport Beach. My daughter freaked out! I called Starline tours & they said they'd look into it. Now....Little Larry...he gave us his card. I called Larry during the evening. Larry, God Bless his soul, talked to me, remembered us, and said he'd call That night & help us out!!!!!!!! And so he did...as promised...he went over & beyond to help us!!!!! And did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had personally called Richard & confirmed that our bag was there & then gave me instructions on how I could retrieve the bag. Larry was kind, helpful beyond the call of duty, easy to talk to, and I could go on & on about how, even his attitude helped our situation. The story ends positively. Thank you All, especially Larry - check out his myspace - awesome!!!!!!! and Starline Tours, Richard & Mary!!!! Our LA experience was fantastic! We met so many good people in this little scenerio...all Starline tours! God Bless you Little Larry! You are GREAT!!!!!!

Pros: Excellent People. Recommended Tour & Personalities which give the Tours

Cons: Hummmmmmmm....

First of all, it was great that it was cheaper with the citypass, because everything in Hollywood seemed like you had to have some kind of coupon to afford it. It was really great that the bus was air conditioned, and wasnt over crowded. The Best thing about the whole trip was our guide, Little Larry, we went at the beginning of June when he was on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, from our experience, he was fun, upbeat, and excited to show us everything. You can see Larry's site at World Wide Web address myspace com/littlelarry25 Some of the places we saw where the Beverly Hillbillies mansions, the Osbournes home, Madonnas home, Sylvester Stalones house, and a bunch more it really is 2 hours,as far as hotel pickup, we just met them at Graumans and had no problem. Hollywood has a great public transportation system, we were there for a week and rode the bus everywhere with no problems.

The tour went very well, but the service afterward was highly unprofessional and below the standard that any company should be operating under. Before the tour they provide a service to pick you at the hotel and take you to the chinese restaurant where it starts. After the tour the bus service provides drop off. And oh boy what a horrible experience. After driving through hectic traffic jam on sunset blvd, and on the way to our first drop off, they decide to turn around because two idiots got on the wrong bus. Inconvience everyone else that had to be there for some tourist who got on the wrong bus. Ridiculous, and a complete waste of time it took another hour and a half to get back to our hotel.

Pros: pickup-drop off

Poor customer service; signs on all the buses basically begging for tips; rude employees; overpriced tours and not good value - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY.

Pros: Ivan (guide)

Cons: Poor customer service, Disorganized, Not good value

I was in L.A. at the end of June 2001and went on the Starline Tours. I really enjoyed it, was shown alot of Star's homes. Was it worth the money? I would say yes, since it was at least two hours worth. Two big problems were that the van we were in was too small especially in the back where I sat. Also the tour guide was vey hard to hear and understand. Sorry but if you are going to have that kind of job, please be able to speak good english. Another small problem was that the van was not the right kind of vehicle to see very good out of. It sits to high up. Other than that, if was very enjoyable seeing beautiful L.A and surrounding areas.

Took the Stars homes and the Hollywood city tours. Buses left on time, and the drivers were friendly, funny, and full of info. One would even stop in the middle of the street, so we could take pictures. If you have out-of-town guests, or even if you live here and want to experience all the hidden secrets that surround you, go to the Starlines booth at Grauman's Chinese and treat yourself!!
