Great lunch spot
by Charlie1422
This is a very popular lunch spot in Hollywood. If it's not too busy, there are some chairs and stools available if you want to eat there. The food is tasty, oily, and never disappoints. Make sure you try some seasoning salt to your fries-make it even tastier!
- Pros: food, service, price
- Cons: not for the health-conscious
Cool spot, ok food

I was living next door decided to check it out as it was always busy and the cool retro vibe drew me in. The food is ok, tried the chicken teriyaki, not the best. My wife wanted a teriyaki burger, but they would not make one even though they have teriyaki sauce available. A little disappointing. On the good side, I dig their crinkle fries! Average eats if walking by, but not to go out of your way to find.
A bit disappointing...

Based on Friends recommendations, I decided to test the waters with this grub stand I often see when I frequent the Hollywood Farmer's Market. I went with something that was recommended over & over again by others, the chicken teriyaki. Although its a good sized portion, the quality wasn't what I expected. The thick, syrupy teriyaki sauce was slopped on & it really mushed up the rice which was overcooked to begin with. By overcooked, I mean they measured the water correctly when they steamed it and it was way too soft & mush. Now the chicken had a good charred taste to it, as though it came right off a BBQ pit, but it felt like it was left on the grill too long. Very dry & stringy. The meal filled me up, but I wouldn't rush back for the Chicken Teriyaki. I definitely want to try one of their burgers, and when I do, I'll update my posting.
Molly's Burger...

Service is good/fast. Food (well at least the hot dogs, burgers and teriyaki chicken) were excellent. Great chili sauce.
If you sit at the outside counter, you are likely to be solicited for money from the transients that roam Hollywood Blvd and the surrounding area. You're safe from the transients if you sit at the inside counter, but it can get a little HOT in there, with the grill going and all.
Prices are a little expensive. A Chili Burger, Chili Dog and Small Drink - $9.00
This place my be disappearing soon, due to planned development on Vine Street. I'd at least give it a try before it's gone.
- Pros: Food, Service
- Cons: Vine Street, Prices
