As with the other reviewer, we also received terrible service when we went to watch a football game on a Sunday afternoon. We sat down and did not get service for a half an hour. We ordered a pitcher of beer & two burgers and were told it would be an hour wait for our food. Beer came another twenty minutes later & sure enough our overcooked burgers came an hour later. The overcooked burger came with cool fries and a small plastic cup of ketchup. I asked the food runner for another cup or my burger & of course he never came back. I know and deal with a lot of people who I recommend where to go out when here in LA. I will defiantly tell them to avoid Hollywood Billiards at all costs. Hollywood Billiards needs to hire more staff on busy days in the kitchen, the floor & behind the bar. Poor service is all to common in LA because the staff has not been properly trained in the finer points of service. Again stay away on game day!
Pros: None
Cons: Service, quality of food and value.

Went in looking forward to watching my team and drinking some beers in a cool environment and was completely let down. The place is big and has cool decor, but the service is just incredibly, incredibly horrible...as in, I sat down at the end of the 1st quarter and--swear to God--by the END of HALFTIME not a single wait person had made it to the table...yep, the game was half over and still NO BEER WHATSOEVER. At that point, I got up from the table and tried ordering at the bar, but their bar is absolutely HUGE, and they had only one bartender, who was clearly not going to make it down my way for some time...needless to say, I left, never to return.
Pros: Big Place and Cool Decor
Cons: Sitting Through HALF A GAME Without Having A Chance to Order Even One Beer!!!!

I have gone to this bar for football every Sunday for more than two years, but not anymore. Makes me sad - the service on Sundays has gotten worse and worse (slow, cold food, waitresses disappear and hard to find). Also, they control all of the NFL games from a remote downstairs and they cut off our game while it was still going on...very frustrating, and it's happened three times this season alone. There are better places with better service and food. It's too bad - I used to like Hollywood Billiards.
Pros: Lots of screens
Cons: Poor service, food on Sundays

I watched the Raiders-Steelers game at Hollywood Billiards. It was a very enjoyable experience. There are many TV screens to watch different games. And there was a very lively crowd. They have couches and lots of chairs. No push to buy food. I actually watched the fourth quarter of the Raider game without being forced to buy anything. Hollywood Billiards is the BEST sports bar I have visited in L.A. Grand Avenue Sports Bar is second. Parking is $5. I parked on the street next to the gas station.
Pros: Lots of TV Screens to Watch Raiders. Lively Crowd. Spacious Atmosphere.
Cons: $5 Parking.

I've lived around the corner for years and finally paid a visit to the big purple building. Much to my suprise, the place is huge! There's plenty of room for everyone and the bar food is delicious. I would eat the fried ravioli every day if could! I wish that there were a few more foosball tables though.
Pros: space, bar food
Cons: not enough foosball

Where else is there such a place!! Huge, fabulous Beer selection, and great drinks. And food! The Nachos and Chicken Marsala! Oh. Cool patio, and couches to watch mammoth T.V.'s. (Ask them to put the sound up and they will.) Great Blonde Bartender,Great Vibe. Go upstairs and look out over Hollywood Blvd. I think about it all week until I can go back on the weekend! The place is massive!
Pros: beer, space, tastey cocktails
Cons: closing

I've been here several times. Awesome food!! (Try the chicken marsala) The last time I came to this hollywood pool palace was in January of 05'. What started out as a great night of playing pool on top notch tables turned half circle when it was time to go home. The valet who I payed a pretty pence to in expectation of parking my vehicle in the lot. Ran out of the parking facility and down the street to grabbed my car. I could've parked my car in front of a apartment adjacent to the place myself. Why am I paying for this service? He returns and leaves the car in the wrong gear!!! Which I don't realize intil I'm driving like a doof for a mile. Needless to say he didn't get a tip. But I did!! The tip being, avoid valets at all cost!!!!!
Pros: Food, Tables
Cons: Valet

Excellent experience at this conveniently location. I planned an event here with 35 people during the day on the weekend. It was busy, but not too busy and they have a parking lot!

I just ran an event here last night and the staff was fantastic and friendly, the food was good, and people just had a great time. I would recommend this place for any event you need to have!
