Knowledgeable Instructors & Great Service

by LidB at Citysearch

I cannot thank Zion Driving School enough for teaching me how to become a good driver! My instructor was Hernan and although I was a nervous driver, he was knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and always gently pushing me forward. As a bonus, Hernan was a fun teacher with a great personality! The staff at Zion Driving School were also very friendly and accommodating. I have been to other driving schools and nowhere else have I seen such personalized driving lessons, tailored to what you, in particular, have to improve.

  • Pros: expert instructors, great customer service, great $ value

Well I've to two different driving schools because one of them had very bad service, i am not mentioning the name out respect but i switched driving schools and found Zion. Their staff was very friendly in helping me out with the information that i needed and the service was fast. The instructor Sal was who i drove with and he was a great instructor, from the moment i walked into the car i lost all nervousness and found myself enjoying the drive. I was a really bad driver before, i had failed my driving exam 4 times but after Zion i passed the very first time. The instructor really took the time to point out what i was doing wrong and worked with me to fix it. Highly Recommend.

Worth your time & money

Hernan happened to be my instructor, too. He breaks the stereotype of driving instructors who are in their 50s with beer gut, graying hair, thick-rimmed glasses and a fashion sense rather kept in the closet.

He?s actually younger than I am, and although relatively new to driving instruction, he knows not only what to teach but how to teach as well. He boosts your confidence at the wheel and on the road just enough so you can see both your strong and weak points. I had him for the first and second days of instruction.

For the third day I was given Sal who actually works under the company Omega. I found out Zion and Omega share instructors. For a first and last date, Sal impressed and delivered. He keeps tabs on the way I handle the car and the road, and constantly fires questions at me which was very helpful in keeping me aware of my performance and my immediate surroundings.

The one peculiar thing I liked about Zion/Omega is that they don?t let students pick-up other students, which other schools do. That way, instructors stay focused on the current student, and the student does not get limited in terms of itinerary and lessons on the last several minutes.

The only thing the company failed at was issuing a receipt.

  • Pros: Knowledgeable and presentable instructors. Affordable.
  • Cons: I didn't get a receipt even after requesting for it three times.

Best place to learn how to drive.

by JohnVelazquez at Citysearch

Wonderful service, I walked in there being afraid of ever driving a vehicle. By the time they were done with me, I was a completely different person. My attitude toward driving had change and my confidence had skyrocketed. My instructor, Hernan, was very patient and explicit when it came to teaching. The approach they used was very easy to follow, and he built me up from the ground up. I'm happy to say that now I hold a valid California driver's license. Not bad for a late starter like myself.

  • Pros: Flexible scheduling, clean new cars, educated and patient instructors, knowlegeable staff.
  • Cons: Limited parking
