Oh no! Called to make a reservation and they have closed the Laguna Beach location!! It is a very enjoyable restaurant, will miss the Laguna location - but there are others. Consistently good food!

The patio setting is perfect for a quiet or romantic meal. The menu works outside the box by pairing unconventional ingredients to create delicous cuisine. I especially favored the herb-encrusted sea bass accompanied by whipped sweet potatoes and couscous. Highly recommended!

My wife and I visited this place on our last trip to Laguna Beach. What a romantic atmosphere! We both have fond memories of dining in this establishment, and will be returning next time we're in the area.

Pros: Food, Ambiance, Service

We ate at Cedar Creek Inn before the POM show. We just stumbled in. The menu was nice. We ordered 2 glasses of pinot, a delicious sea-food salad and the shrimp scampi. We both enjoyed the food and thought the place was comfy and delicious. We shared our meals as we usually tend to do..so we can sample all the flavors. We did not ask for the dishes to be split but did say we were sharing. Any way when the bill came ..we had a $4 split charge for the scampi dish. Yes they divided up back in the kitchen...we did not request this.... This split charge burns me up. We had 2 main dishes and 2 glasses of wine. The bill was not cheap. I do not approve of restaurants charging like this. BAD

Pros: great food, good price

Cons: split charge, unfriendly maitre 'd

As I live in Laguna, I can tell you this is not the most fabulous restaurant in town - but there is some amazing competition. So this is not one of the fru-fru fine food places but its pretty satisfying for a lot less money. A wonderful place for lunch and your kids will like it too. Cedar Creek is much better than the big chain restaurants (like Claim Jumper or Cheescake Factory for example) but similar in price. There is something on the menu for everybody, and some of the dishes are outstanding. The desserts are awesome. You can usually get in without a long wait, and there is some really great entertainment on weekends. Also a great Laguna Beach exception, there is free and ample parking in the back.

Pros: variety, value, desserts, parking

It's usually crowded in the summer because of it's location. I can't believe the crowds come for the food quality. This resaurant does, however, avoid the other half of the old joke, and the portions are at least large for those hungry enough to actually force it all down. Large portions and not expensive prices would normally make this a "value" restaurant, except that the food quality is so mediocre. For those who say there is no good food in OC, it's probably because they eat often at Cedar Creek Inn.

Pros: Location, Mixed Drink Prices

Cons: Food Quality, Service, Noise level

Whenever we go anywhere near Laguna Beach or San Juan Capistrano, we make sure we have either brunch or lunch at the Cedar Creek Inn. We've never hand anything other than great service, and the food has just enough twists to keep it interesting. Favorites are the Monte Cristo, Smoked Turkey Zuni Rolls and the Chicken Cashew Croissant. In Laguna Beach you can't go wrong with the Sausage and Cheese Strata for brunch.

Pros: Great service, Interesting twists, Patio

Traditional American cuisine including a few espousing ethnic flares served in a rustic setting; entertainment in the evenings.  See the full editorial review.
