Holiday time @ The Grove is so much fun!

by CorkScrew33 at Citysearch

I just went to The Grove last weekend with my family. The holiday decorations are so festive & a great way to get into the holiday spirit. You have to go check out the huge Christmas Tree. It's also a lot of fun to explore The Farmer's Market. There are so many good treats there...it's hard to decide which place to try.

  • Pros: The Holiday Decorations & The Farmer's Market
  • Cons: Sometimes crowded

Ok so... this a must see if your in LA. I always bring my friends here when they visit from up north. It's bl*ws their minds. the shopping is ridiculous, the food is great. There is a farmers market around the corner and last time I was there I saw Tila Tequila

  • Pros: parking...you can valet your car
  • Cons: none

Nice and neat but Crowded

by BettyStevens43 at Citysearch

This place is so crowded and it's hard to get the parking, but overall I still love it. it's always clean. New restaurants are opening frequently. Staff is usually friendly.

A Great Spot for ALL Occasions!

by vivaciousdivah at Citysearch

My parents especially my father make the Grove the Number 1 spot to visit after leaving the airport. It has a great and inviting environment for families, cultural enthusiasts, high-class and those aspiring to be so. With convenient parking ranging from self-parking to valet, from $1 and up, you can simply walk around the outside mall, lay on the grass, listen to live jazz, watch the water show, enjoy fine dining outside, on the balcony, or inside the intimate, and warm vibe of the restaurants. Whether alone or with a group, you can always enjoy shopping, chilaxing in the Bookstore, or enjoying a movie at the theater. Great place to meet any mood, any need, and fulfill you by the time you leave.

Shopping and dining amid a posh setting

by doll83 at Citysearch

Angelenos and out-of-towners flock to this popular venue for entertainment, dining, shopping and of course people watching. I was mostly impressed by its stylish architecture and precious decor--it comes all in red, light brown and golden tones. Pleasant tunes create a background for extensive shopping and invite to luscious dining. A feast for the eyes is certainly for every female the topless male situated at the entrance of "Abercrombie and Fitch". I would highly recommend the Grove bookstore: "Barnes & Noble" . Summing up, to shop and dine at this venue is definitely not a bargain, but it convinces you with its fashionable style and trendy vibe.

  • Pros: Ambience, service, diversified entertainment
  • Cons: pricy, packed on weekends

Communal vibe and international delicacies

by doll83 at Citysearch

I often go to the farmers market after work just to pick up the atmosphere. International delicacies among local dishes are showcased everywhere while a mixed crowd and a particular scenery maintain a cozy atmosphere. Sometimes it is a kind of chaotic though, but certainly a perfect place for family dining and shopping. The haunt is especially packed on weekends. Recently I had some sushi there. It came fresh and nicely arranged. It is though all about the communal vibe and the international cuisines it offers.

Great for people watching and for shopping

by jericsmall at Citysearch

The Grove (at the Farmer's Market) is probably my favorite mall in all of the Los Angeles area (keeping in mind that I'm a West Hollywood resident). An upscale feeling outdoor mall, this place rocks! It's got a huge movie theatre and all the stores you'd want. The parking can (and does) fill up, so arrive early or count on doing the parking deck dance for a while. Better yet, park at a meter in the neighboring streets if you plan to be in and out (not for the movie-goer).
