Decent deli food
by jenheidir
I?m a big fan of Factors? flavorful knishes, juicy and tender pastrami sandwiches, crispy potato pancakes, and ironically for a deli, its tantalizingly cheesy mozzarella sticks. The restaurant has a relatively new buffet line of hot, side-dish deli classics, including mac & cheese as well as mashed potatoes. Rich pretty much sums up the majority of the desserts Factors offers, including its lemon and brownie bars as well as its blackout chocolate cake. You can order off the menu in the dining room, decorated with movie posters and other memorabilia, or get take-out from deli and dessert counter. The restaurant also delivers to within a three-mile radius, but service is slow, so be sure to put in your order a good two hours before you want to eat. What also makes Factors unique among the other delis in the Pico-Robertson region is that a) it?s not a kosher restaurant b) it?s open from Friday to Saturday night during the weekly Jewish Sabbath.
Poor Service, Poor quality food

I read about the deli as the 9th best deli in LA out of 10. I wanted to love this place, but I couldn't. The meat was tough and fatty. The coffee cold. We waited 10 minutes for 2 glasses of water. Parking was awful. No, I cannot recommend this place. I'd rather enjoy Nate N Al's on Beverly Drive.
- Cons: Doesn't measure up
best deli in LA
by tripindicular1
I'm not a big deli fan, but I love Factor's. You can actually have a healthy meal here while your company is having a cholestoral binge. They have amazing salads which are so huge they can be shared. The crowd is mixed ages as opposed to the competition which makes you feel like you are in a senior center. They deliver take-out deli platters, etc. great for a casual event like a sports gathering or kids' party. The owner is friendly and usually there.
- Pros: there are some healthy choices even though it's a deli
Neighborhood deli combines a New York-style menu with L.A. glitz.

In Short
This vast eatery's movie poster-lined walls surround comfy booths and tidy tables. Crowds ebb and flow, but do-it-yourselfers continuously cruise the deli counter for take-home treats. Beef or turkey pastrami comes piled high: Mounds of thinly sliced meat, coleslaw and Russian dressing wedged between two slices of rye are the order of the day, while sides include knishes, matzo ball soup and kasha varnishkas. As for dessert, expect everything from simple meringue cookies to calorie-laden brownie sundaes.
Home of the Flavorless Omelette

Factors would not be the place to go for a really tasty omelette unless you prefer something unseasoned and bland. Perhaps we made a mistake in ordering the brisket omelette. My wife smothered it in tobasco (she likes her spice) but it still couldn't be saved. Their sandwiches and soups are tasty, however. I like that the waitresses are old school and personable. Good luck finding a parking spot.
- Pros: sandwiches, soups, waitresses
- Cons: brisket omelette, parking
Great restaurant for everyone

Factors is a great alternative to the fast declining Jerry's Deli and the other LA staple, Canters. The menu selection is comparable in all three, and the quality of Factors food is pretty good overall. It's a very reasonable place for breakfast, service is quick and friendly. Parking can be an issue, especially at weekends. On the upside, I have taken large groups here (>10) and have not had to wait long for seating - of course, peak times (early at weekends) can be very busy, but I always find this a good sign. Overall, I'd recommend this place for breakfast and for large groups who have varied likes/dislikes.
- Pros: Food, Variety, Price
- Cons: Parking
Great Sandwich
by jgreenb1
Factor's is fantastic! My lunch usually consists of sandwich, soup and fries. Factor's is by far the best deli in Los Angeles. I actually live directly behind Cantor's and drive all the way to Factor's because it's that much better. I think the only deli that can compare the Factor's is Second Avenue Deli in NYC.
- Pros: Corned Beef, Service, Clean
Magic!
by radontide
Great food and service made even better with the new addition of a house magician. The magic is sleight of hand done right at your table. The guy they hired is AMAZING!
- Pros: magician, valet parking, friendly
It's all about the Turkey Reuben
by Bush
Sure, the food is all around solid at Factors, but I pretty much stick with the Turkey Pastrami Reuben and the Turkey Dipper. I've worked my way through the menu and landed on those two favorites. For breakfast, you can't go wrong with the cod, whitefish or lox.
