This Los Angeles Electrician Rocks a Homeowners best friend!

I'm a first time home owner and needed some electrical work done ( a first for me) . I contacted some other companies and felt " bulldozed & panicked " by some of these contractors and their estimates with little explanation except the urgency to make fixes eg: " Miss.. you gotta do this ASAP or you can have a fire and burn your house down" ( heck this house has been here since 1938! albeit without my new lighting scheme). Michael James took the time to explain the work that needed to be done and WHY in a language I UNDERSTAND . Such as the electrical panel and how much each of the "circuit" can handle ( this was all new to me) . With this knowledge I felt empowered to make a informed decision for the work/lighting I wanted done. Seriously folks... guys like Michael James are a rare breed they take pride in their craft, not only was he able to advise me on the electrical needs, I also found out he worked as concert lighting designer and helped me to layer my lighting so I was able to distribute my electrical output as needed ( sorry if the "newbies" don't understand this, but it is important!)

I benefited from his years of work experience and knowledge and YOU WILL as well. I can confidently give Michael James a 100% recommendation to any of my friends and that says ALOT!. Also, you get educated and can fling word around like amps. wattage & breakers. Thank you MJ! you light up my life uh,,,, my kitchen .. ok that part was corny.... nuf said

Finally!!!!!!!!

I've been conned by a few electricians, plumbers, you name it, but finally I've have found someone I trust. Michael showed up 1 1/2 after I called at four o'clock on Thursday. Nice. Then, he dug in and found out the problem where others had failed and even had the part I needed in his truck. His card is on my freezer and I've now written a review for the first time on the internet. Did I mention that his rate was also the most fair I've seen. Good man. Great job.

Professional, honest, reasonably priced electrician.

I found A Custom Electric here on Citysearch and couldn't be more pleased with Michael and his service. He came out same day on short notice, was very helpful and easy to deal with. He's a cool guy and is super professional, straightforward and honest.

Couldn't be happier with my electrical work

I called Michael to get an estimate for electrical work on my pool equipment. He came out for a free estimate and told me how much it would cost. He kept his appt times and was extremely responsive to my needs. The price was reasonable and I didn't fel I was getting price gouged. He was extremely professional and came out to work on my pool electrical problem. The price was exactly as he quoted. Since he was at my house, I had him do a couple of other minor electrical repairs. I thought I was only having him change some switches but it turned out that it wasn't a switch problem, but a wiring problem. Michael told me that it wasn't the switches and quoted me a price to fix the wiring. I told him to forget it and I can just live with the problem. But then he said he would fix it no matter how much time it took and would charge me for the original price of changing the switches. He's honest, trustworthy, takes pride in his work and does a great job. I would recommend him to anyone.

A company with a very big heart.

I just want to tell you that I couldn't find anyone to take care of me because my job was so small. I was desperate and everyone wanted to charge so much money just to replace a switch. I called this company and the owner arranged for a time to take care of me personally, He was very kind man and kind in how much he charged me.

This is company that has a big heart.

Great Electrician, keeps his word!!

Michael was amazing! He was very prompt, professional, and attentive when he was helping update our building code permits. He came out to the house numerous times, coordinated with the city contractor, and also fixed a few things around the house that we didn't even expect. He always called when he said he was going to call, showed up when he said he would, and he kept his word! No flakiness, no communication errors, overall, hands down one of the best people to do any electrical job. I would recommend him highly to anyone!!!!

An awesome electrician!

I have been using Michael for my electrical needs since 2003. He shows up when he says he will show up, does great work and his pricing is very fair. I have been rehabbing buildings for years and one of my requirements for all my vendors is clear communication. Michael is very straight on his communication and I appreciate that.

All of his employees are very considerate as well. My experience with him has been GREAT! I have been restoring a funky 1920's building in West Hollywood for a while now and Micheal has been able to solve a lot of the issues that come with old buildings, etc.

I keep going back to him, why would I go anywhere else? He is part of my "team"!
