Angelini Osteria serves exquisite food reminiscent of Northern Italy. It will cut down the cost of the meal if one person orders pasta, one orders a main course, and you share both. The highlights of our meal included assorted meats, buffalo mozzarella, tripe and octopus. The lasagna verde was good, and tasted indulgent and light at the same time. The leg of pork was brought out on a table by several waiters, who carved the meat right off the bone and onto our plates. It was a nice presentation, and the whole restaurant (a fairly sophisticated crowd) turned to look. The desserts are nothing to write home about, although the apple tart was a standout. Six people shared five appetizers, six entrees, four desserts, three bottles of wine, and our total bill was just over $400. Well worth it, considering throughout the meal, none of us wanted it to end.
Pros: Incredible food, reasonable prices, lives up to the hype
Cons: crowded, not much privacy, small
