Nova Express is one of a kind unusual place, full of imagination and offbeat joie de vivre. The artist Cary Long sculpted the place, creating the 3-dimensional art space. Other LA artists feature their stunning work as well. Their menu is really fun. Great place for a date and/or to meet up with friends for the evening. It draws an eclectic crowd...from hollywood people (Paris Hilton and her entourage, Benicio w/ Scarlett, LDC, Jessica Alba, etc etc) and just really nice, interesting and creative people of LA and out of town visitors. The solar flare salad with chicken is robust and healthily delicious. I hear the Nova Nachos are freshly made and delicious. The pesto is freshly made and strong and good. The Galaxy and Black dot drinks are yummy. I usually get the mocha or the cosmically named martinis. The staff is friendly and attentive. I love this place....What a fantastic place!

Pros: Great ambiance, friendly staff, fun sensibility

Cons: Street parking, though there is a $5 lot 1/2 a block up.

Great food with interesting twists and original names. Great surrounding and perfect for dates or groups of small friends. I've gone to nova more than a couple of times and always leave feeling better than I came.

Pros: This place is the greatest, and affordable too...

Cons: not a one, nova knows how to handle its own

This is a great place for anyone from abroad to hear djs spin something other than the usual lousy hiphop club music played at every 'hot spot' in LA. Miss the clubs, djs, music back in the UK and Europe? Don't want to go to a rave to hear it? Nova is relaxed, laid back, where you can meet people and talk about something other than the "LA business". Cheers and have fun!

Pros: music, people, food

Try the chicken sandwich on foccacia bread... its the best! The service is the worst in the world. It makes me not want to leave a tip, but I always find myself coming back for the good food, so I leave a tip anyways.

Pros: great food, cool atmosphere, awesome music

Cons: bad service, unprofessional waiter, more bad service!

Awesome food at this chill location. An auditory and visual trip out fo this world! Excellent tasting food and resonable prices with a unique space age feel are what bring this open till 4am cafe to the top of the list. An excellent location for a fun/no pressure date. Service may seem to be a bit slow somtimes, but Nova has more of a coffee shop feel to it, so just feel free to ask for whatever you need when you need it. Excellent location as well a few blocks off the sunset strip, with plenty of parking on the street or in the public parking lot 1 block up.

Pros: Inexpensive, Excellent food, Excellent atmosphere

Excllent food and atmoshpehere, but don't go there expecting any service beyond talking your order, bringing your food and delivering the check. We are frequent customers and can accept the bad service, but my dad couldn't stand it. There are never refills, "how is everything"s, nothing! The light ship pizza is THE BEST!!!! Also, try the turkey sandwich on their homeade bread. I would definitely reccomend this restaurant to those who love loud music and a funky atmosphere, but could care less about service!

Pros: Good atmosphere, Delicious Food, Good music

Cons: Bad Service, Bad Service, Bad Service

For some reason, this place has the best pizza. Don't let anyone tell you it's authentic but it really is tasty. Add a cool, dark, space-age environment and Nova becomes an awesome place to chill.
