Beautiful Flowers, but expensive
by am1975
I bought some beautiful flowers from here, the staff was extreamely helpful, but the flowers were pricey.

- Cons: Expensive
Don't use this place for delivery
by jmc57
I live across the country and I called Rita Flora for a delivery within L.A. because of the top rated review here. The flowers may be beautiful but they were delivered a day late after the person I sent them to had to go to the store. They had called her several times and could not figure out her address, even though I had given it to them correctly -- twice. They fired the person responsible for the mistake, or so they say, but they wouldn't even refund the delivery fee -- crazy. It was only $15, you would think they would at least try to win back a customer after overcharging me for the flowers and inconveniencing the person I was trying to give a gift to! It's not much money but it did frustrate me on principle. Don't use this place.
- Pros: Flowers are supposed to be beautiful
- Cons: Didn't make delivery on time
aweful arrangments and overpriced
by lemonzest
i have been coming to rita flora for years because i live around the corner. i have always received great flowers and great service. today, i went in to buy graduation flowers for a friend and was utterly disgusted with the service and competence of the sales woman. first of all, the prices were raised. $7.95 for each rose!! then she told us to go to trader joe's or ralphs instead. but i was in a rush ... so... she proceeded to make the tackiest arrangement possible. upon which she squeezed the flowers so close together, the petals were bent and some fell off. i couldn't help but laugh at the large brown sleeping bag she had made with all the flowers choked up at the top. i will never never come here again! when the salesperson tells you to go somewhere else... listen.
- Pros: great location, pretty flowers, good ambience
- Cons: aweful arrangement skills, overpriced flowers
Popular shop puts a fresh spin on floral arrangements and specialty gift items.

The Scene
This stylish shop is a neighborhood favorite, beloved for its beautiful fresh flowers and plants--and for paving the way for the revitalization of the La Brea and Third Street shopping district in the mid-'80s. Since 1986, it has consistently delivered the goods, including some of the wittiest verse to ever hit a store marquee.
The Goods
There's not a single fern and baby's breath-laden arrangement here. This shop has always been at the forefront of floral design, so you can assume that any arrangement it sends will be as unique as it is fresh. The shop also has a huge collection of orchids, as well as non-floral gifts like delicious Comparte's chocolates and Agraria's garden-scented candles and home fragrances.
Beautiful, romantic, yummmmy and great service
by marinagirl78
I went to this to try the Rose wine because I got an email advertisement that looked interesting. I rarely do that but I'm glad I did in this case. The food is unbelieveable! There's some sort of flowershop in the same building owned by the same people I guess so it's just gorgeous and always has fresh flowers. Great for a romantic date. I'd make reservations, but I've been there for lunch and dinner without needing them. Park in the rear if you can!
- Pros: Terrific Food, Easy Parking, Great Service, Beautiful Ambiance
- Cons: There's only one location
Great for Lunch!
by achickwwit
Just went with a few friends, including a bride-to-be who perused the shop after lunch for wedding flower ideas. Just a great vibe all around. And the food was delicious.
- Pros: Shop & eat!, Parking (free valet), Late hours
- Cons: A little Pricey
Great selection during Valentine's
by tty22
The store have great selection of flowers-especially the hard to find ones, but i have to tell you-during valentine's season IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE! They raise the price sooo high! The arrangement were pretty great, one of the best arrangement i have seen. But it wouldn't hurt to lower the price a bit. For example, one rose - $10!!!!!
- Pros: great arrangements, variety
- Cons: Expensive, Expensive, Expensive
FLORITA
by 2818bear
This ultra trendy floral store produces some of the most exquisite arrangements around town for a very pricey bundle. Traditionialism meets modernism with uber beautiful callas and white tiger lilies paired with green, thin reeds.

Lunch in Yosemite!
by mjt
The flower shop is amazing! The last time I've seen that much color was in Yosemite. The kitchen is also a delight. A great place to sit down for lunch and take in the scenery. Overall, a wonderful stop to take your date!
