Best hotel it was a little treasure!!

by ladydi48

I would definitly highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay at a hotel that was convinient to many things to do, and wanted a nice place to stay.

This hotel was very, very clean, and had great service. The beds were new, and very clean. The sheets were very soft, and enjoyable. The service at this hotel was really excellent. The staff was very nice and imformative.

This hotel was very convienient to the farmer's market, the Grove,CBS studios, and American Girl. All you had to do was cross one street and you were at the Farmer's market and American Girl.

Walking distance from the Farmer's daughter to American Girl was excellent, about 3 minutes. The location of this hotel was clean, and in the good part of LA.

Best Place for the Buck and Great Staff!

by hlwarta

My family came to town and had never been to the West Coast before and thanks to the friendly staff, they will definitely be back to LA! We stayed for 4 nights and the staff in TART and at the front desk was so accommodating and kind that I know we will be back. They went out of their way to make sure my dad and brother were taken care of during the day while I went to work, making sure they knew where to go and places to visit. The staff in TART was curteous, the food was great and even the valets were nice! A definite must-stay to ensure a good time in LA.

  • Pros: Location, Staff and Price
  • Cons: TART closes too early!

One of a kind!

by modernmyths

Once you've stayed in hotel chains you will appreciate a hotel with a personality :) Every time I visit LA the hotel is improving in its own way. It's nice to root for a privately run hotel in this world of chain hotels. I feel like I'm some place special staying here, without the crowded scene. A centrally located boutique hotel with a great restaurant and the best shopping experience in LA right across the street. I miss the cute boy who used to work the front desk though :) And dry cleaning, thai massage, 24 hour pharmacy on the same block. If you're going to be out and about in LA returning to the oasis vibe of the hotel is a great, calming way to end the evening.

Beware the hype!

by plushbrains

This place is terrible! Do not stay here. The decor may be cute but it is cheap and all surface. The beds are unsleepable. In fact, our 4 person "suite" did not have enough sleeping accomodations for 4 people and we were sleeping on cushions on the bare wood floor. The service is TERRIBLE- argumentative, rude front office staff not interested in helping whatsoever. Don't stay here!

  • Cons: Customer service, Sleeping accomodation, Lighting

Kitschy country-chic motel is the hip lodging choice for budget travelers.

by Contributor

The Scene
Redefining the concept of the economy motel, this Fairfax landmark has been converted into a stylish motel. The design scheme merges urban life with down-home charm, via gingham-covered chaise lounges, corrugated-steel picket fences with indigo walls, and model-quality staffers uniformed in checked shirts and overalls.

The Details
The three-level motel wraps around an airy patio with wooden tables and lounges, a small swimming pool and a free parking lot. Rooms are cozy, with cute country touches like sunflowers and denim bedspreads. Amid cowskin rugs and fake chickens, there are distinctly modern touches such as high-speed Internet access, in-room CD-DVD, and homey touches like rain showerheads and aromatic designer soaps. All this, for less than $150 per night.

I am so in love with Farmer's Daughter Hotel's new look. They're lobby looks fabulous and not to mention their front desk's outfits are adorable. I felt right at home in their farm style rooms. The Price is definitely right at this hotel. I highly recommend you to stay here!

Terrific Value!

by animallovr03

The rooms at the Farmer's Daughter are an exceptional value. What's more, the staff is extremely helpful. With many places to eat just a short walk away, the Farmer's Daughter is the perfect place to stay for business, leisure, or in my case, apartment renovations. Great overall value!

  • Pros: location, on-site parking

What a find...

by geraldine

We were at the Farmer's Market and The Grove for shopping. We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to stay the night and continue shopping the next day. We were referred to the Farmer's Daughter. Upon arrival we were a little taken back by the construction site (which are almost done). Once we checked in and got ot our room we were very pleased with the recommendation. The room was newly refurbished and very cute. The rooms have a hip / funky look to them with great artwork and plenty of amenities. The staff was friendly and very helpfull. I have found the hotel that I will keep coming back to everytime I come to Los Angeles.

  • Pros: free parking, inexpensive, amenities
  • Cons: construction

I'll be back!

by emeraldsoul

I took my 80 year old grand mother to see the Price Is Right and Farmer's Daughter was right across the street. Having a fridge in the room was great! I also noticed the free DSL and will bring my lap top next time. I have several friends who travel and I will recomend this hotel to them. The shower was very nice, like a natural rain fall. The price fit well into my budget. The staff made us feel right at home. The continental breakfast was a plus also. Thanks again everyone!
