Best Thrift Store Finds in town!!
by StephieMM85 at Citysearch
I am now officially in love with this place! I found the cutest dress for only $25! My friend suggested going here for their big Sunday sale in their parking lot. Good luck finding street parking, we had to park in the residential neighborhood and walk, but when we got there...SO MANY PEOPLE! It was so much fun. I felt like it was a challenge trying to find something in all the piles of clothes. We went inside and found some amazing stuff that were still really reasonably priced! I am totally coming here again!
- Pros: Great Selection, Good Prices, Sunday Parking Lot Sale!
- Cons: tons of People
Great place to buy cheap vintage

Good Selection of vintage and the Sunday $1 sale is pretty good value for the buck. They have good inventory and constant new stuff.........

I love this place . Oh man it is so great . Every sunday , everything in the parking lot $1 ! but you will have to dig through piles and piles of clothes. And you should definitely go very early to pick the best things . And be aware . A lot of people will just randomly choose things , put it in a container , and try them on , so be quick in looking through things . All i could find was a shirt when i went , but i got other things from inside . Outside is chaos , but inside is this huge treasure trove of things. Oh wow . My grama and mum were having some crazy flashbacks. Hahah ! A lot of great sun glasses , necklaces , button , pathces , vests , hats , dresses , shoes , etc. ! I highly recommend this store . And make sure you devote a lot of time to looking though things . You can NOT just spend a hour in here !
Love. Love-love. L-O-V-E. Love it!

I am a hardcore "thrifter" and this is one is on my top-5 list when vintage hunting throughout the country on vacations. When walking in to the store, it is absolutely HUGE! You feel like you are walking into a prop department at a nearby Hollywood Studio, and the prices are pretty decent, in lieu of the endless selection.
They've got everything for anybody. You want a Victorian Dress? You got it! You want acid washed jeans from the 80's? Kind of gross, but yeah, they got 'em! They have military attire, T-shirts up the yin-yang, and they have more shoes and accessories than you can shake a stick at.
I should also comment on the great customer service at this location. I found an old Rodeo belt that fit me, but a lot of them were way too big, so I asked if there was any place I could go to poke extra holes in the belt. The clerk behind the counter told me he had a hole puncher for belts and would do it for free. He was a really nice guy and I kept running into him all over town for the rest of my trip, which was kinda neat.
My only complaint is that the dollar sale wasn't that terrific, but then again, I should have showed up earlier since everything was already picked through. My friend Bryan found a terrific sweater-jacket for himself, though, as I recall, but this WAS last summer.
Bottom line: I LOVE THIS STORE!
- Pros: selection, prices, staff, location, organization
- Cons: except for parking, NOTHING!
best dresses, great coats, dollar mayhem
by cariemhunter at Citysearch
Simply ruling.
This is a wonderland.
I myself don't get involved in the rampage of dollar day in the parking lot on sunday, but some people understandably live for it.
But this is a great place to find a dress before going out on saturday night.
The dressing rooms are fun because they are a little scary... they kind of roll, and you almost think people can see in, but they can't.
oh yeah, i have a thing with buying used shoes ( i don't), but if you don't mind the Used Shoes thing, they have a great shoe section, oranized by era.
Lots of great coats.
Women's shirts, kind of limited for my taste... But best secondhand dress selection in hollywood, hands-down.
Last but not least, any secondhand store with shelves and shelves of knitted afghans and old blankets and a bunch of aprons gets at least 3 stars.
PS: wednesday/thursday PM shopping gives you a better selection.
- Pros: great selection, good prices
Great place for good old school thrift store gear - inexpensive
by junglecee at Citysearch
I love this place because it is old school and you can get clothes for CHEAP. Lately alot of thrift stores are expensive since it is the new thing but this store keeps it cheap and nice. Great atmosphere and the $1 sale on the weekend is brilliant.
- Cons: Have to park on LaBrea
Vintage Glam on the Cheap
by lwmango at Citysearch
Like well-priced vintage clothing but don't want to pay Melrose Ave. prices? Then head to Jet Rag for a massive selection of items, most priced under $20. There are racks and racks of dresses from the 1950s-'80s, blazers, tons of shoes, dozens of men's Polo shirts, and pretty much anything else a thrift junkie would desire. Jet Rag has creative window displays and an organized, well-lighted interior space conducive to browsing. If you go on a Sunday, there are $1 sales where piles of clothes are dumped on to clothes in the parking lot and customers dig for cheap treasures. The store, however, does lack in terms of vintage accessories especially jewelry, hats, and gloves.
- Pros: Good Selection, Inexpensive, Organized
- Cons: Small Parking Lot
For quality and quantity, you simply can't beat this low-priced resale goldmine.

In Short
This barn-like structure houses the largest collection of conservatively priced vintage in L.A. The owners make an attempt to separate the wheat from the chaff by displaying the more desirable items behind the cash register, but you're just as likely to find something stunning on the racks. From ultra-loud polyester to subtle denim and corduroy and all points in between, Jet Rag's got it all.
great selection, not so great people...
by ktovera at Citysearch
i was extremely impressed w/ the quality and selection of the clothing, prices were excellent, not exactly "thrift store" prices but still reasonable, I was totally turned off by the employees, one employee in particular... TIP: BE A BIT MORE NICE, AND MAYBE U'LL GET SUM OF UR CUSTOMERS BACK!
- Pros: quality, selection, inexpensive
- Cons: service
Great selection

This store has a big selection of vintage goods. The dresses are very affordable and cute, they have things that you can totally find on ebay for far less money. Their $1 sales are cool and fun. The one thing that I didn't like was the staff, they're extremely rude and that's something that I can't stand.
- Pros: selection
- Cons: bad customer service
