Great Prices

My friend told me about this place, the prices are fantastic. I loved the staff, wish it was a little closer to home. It in a really cool old building, make sure you go upstairs and check out all the cages and perches. I bought my amazon a fantastic wrought iron cage for under 200 bucks!!!!! Enjoy your visit, the staff won't pester you to death.

Why Question a Good Thing?

OK, first I'd suggest that you read all the reviews here and then go there to pass judgement. I truly don't understand how someone can walk into a shop and complain about the size of a cage. Do you know that bird was rescued by Lourdes years ago and happy as can be.

OK, got that off my chest. As you'll read, everyone who knows the quality of Pampered birds has said all that I can. I've been a loyal customer for years and will just go to visit and watch the parade of loyal community members that have shopped there for years as well as those seeking to start the journy of picking the right bird and starting the incredible journey they provide for us.

Pampered Birds will not just "sell" you a hand fed baby, they help to train you and make sure the match is right.

Oh, heck, just add me to the list of community memebers that love and respect Loudes and her staff.

Not so pampered

We went in a couple of weeks ago and was sad to see that many of the large birds, especially the large Macaws and the Toucan were in such small cages, in fact Toucans need a cage at least 8'x12'x6' or bigger, the Toucan looked sad or unhappy. As bird lovers it was hard for us to see this, since we want birds to be loved and happy. The staff was friendly and they did have a good selection of products, and some of the birds were very cute. The cages were not so clean, their water was dirty and the food could of been fresher, maybe is was an off day? If you want to buy a bird, check this place out. Birds make great pets, but they need attention, love and a big cage to be happy in. And for the store owner who may read this, please cage your bigger birds in larger cages (so they can exercise properly), and from personal experience, Birds have feelings too.

Couldn't Be More Satisfied

Knowing very little about parrots but wanted one as a pet, we went to Pampered Birds and got a Sun Conure and all of the necessary things needed to house and care for our new pet. The total experience could not have been better!! Lourdes and her staff are top notch knowledgeable professionals who genuinely care about you and your bird. The shop has a inventory and toys, cages, perches, food...etc next to none not to mention to being absolutely immaculate. The owner and staff are never too busy to answer question and provide expert advice. We find it quite refreshing in this day and age to be able to obtain such professional individual service. We highly recommend this Pampered Birds!!

Pampered Birds, The best of Atwater Village

PETA would be proud of this store. It is quite evident that this establishment is a labor of love. The Macaws perched on manzanita trees took my breath away. The owner who proudly identified herself as Lourdes Rivas answered all my questions (some tougher than others) regarding caged birds. Her kindness towards a rescued Toucan named Terri almost brought me to tears. Who new that places like this and people like her still exist in such a busy selfserving society. Atwater Village should thank Huell Howser and Pampered BIrds for putting them on the map. Ms. Rivas is was a pleasure to meet you.

a home away from home

I've been going to P.B. for more than a decade. They have a great selection of toys, treats, food and cage accessories. There are very few people I would trust my Umbrella with, but Lourdes and her staff are very high on my list. I live in West Hollywood and drive out to Atwater Village when I need anything. They always have an amazing flock of new birds and baby birds in who just love to say "Hi."
