I got cable thru Adelphia a few years back, with the understanding that I would get an offer. Once the offer expired, they started billing me the outrageous regular price, so I immediately cancelled my services. I scheduled them to pick up the cable box which they never did. Next thing I knew, they had reported me to all 3 credit beaureus (sp?). I took the box back & got a letter of apology from the then-GM. I sent it to the credit co's for update, but 4 years later, they're still desputing that I owe them money despite their screw-up. I am discusted by the way Adelphia cable does business and their lack of regard for their customer's well-being. This incident has costed me lots of time and money! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They are TERRIBLE!

Service was set-up on a Sat. & an hour later it was not working, called cus. ser. & they said they would fix it, it didn't.Called again 2 more times before they set up a tech to come out. Tech was suppose to come out on Monday between 8am-10am, tech never showed up. I called the @ 10:30am & they said that someone would call me back in 30 mins. No one ever called, I called Adelphia 888-683-1000 3 more times & they said the same thing. Finally when someone called @ 3pm I cancelled the service & set-up for someone to pick up the box. Adelphia was suppose to p/u the box on Wed, no one showed up. I call Adelphia to notify them and they said that it was re-scheduled to Fri. I never rcvd a call to let me know it was going to be re-scheduled.

This company took over my service from Century Cable. We got rid of it about 2 months ago and they still keep on charging us. My family owes like 600 dollars for a service we dont even use! The premium stations are horrible and there is no point in getting the packages. They just keep re-hashing the same movies over and over again. The basic cable is below par at best. They give you around 40 extra channels with digital cable but all of them are not worth watching! Who wants to watch the Golg channel? Not I! And your bound to run into blackouts. So you have to call them up a couple times a year just to tell them that your experiencing problems and they;re only reply is "We Know". Go with Direct Tv or AT&T digital. Anythings better than adelphia!
