This is an American Baptist Church. This church has been on this corner for over 100 years. This church has started a Spanish Baptist Church that is now located on Meridian Street in Highland Park. This church has also started a Cantonese Baptist Church. Services are as follows Sunday School 9:30 am classes for adults, young adults and children. Traditional Morning Worship Service 11:00 am. Evening Worship Service 6:00 pm. Special events, prayer requests, prayer praises and announcements are made at each service.
Pros: Surroundings are great
Cons: street parking only

I haven't attended this church in several years. I used to go with my grandmother. I always was led to believe that it was a catholic church. I didn't know intil I seen its listing on citysearch that it was baptist. Go figure. Anyhow I dont really care for this church. Its a nice church building and all. But the sermons are a little hard to understand and the congregation doesn't seem united. It's basically an all spanish spreaking congregation so I could'nt follow to well. But they have a lot of candles you can light up and make a prayer with. Its a good church if you live in the area. I just didnt care for it compared to other churches. It's more confusing and unfriendly.
