So me and my friends wanted to go to a good diner place , and we stumbled upon Pann's.
When we got there the people were nice they greeted us and gave us a nice booth to sit in.
The food was delicious i ordered the chicken dinner with baked potato and herb rice. Forget Roscoe's Panns has the best chicken I've ever tasted!!!!! Yummm and im going today again!
- Pros: Nice people

After hearing about this place for a long time, we finally got up early and went to eat here one Saturday. I had the chicken and waffles. It wasn't roscoes, but it was still really good. But all around me, people were having a rough time. My girlfriend's chicken fried steak was just "ok" and she's in no rush to go back. But here's the odd part - two different people at two different tables watched helplessly as they poured salt on their food and the entire cap came off the shaker. I don't know if someone was playing a cruel joke, but I had to feel bad for those folks.
The Quintessential Diner
by missjoymarie at Citysearch
Finding an authentic diner is a little like finding a drive-in movie theatre (try the one in City of Industry)--they are incredibly difficult to come by! Pann's on La Tijera is like discovering a portal to the past where prices are still reasonable, the food is great and customer service still exists. After a warm greeting from Rena, we were escorted to our shiny red booth. A fresh coat of red paint made the restaurant sparkle as if it had been built yesterday. Ritchie Valens played on the jukebox as we placed our orders with an extremely nice and knowledgeable waitress. Pann's is rumored to have THE best fried chicken in town and it doesn't disappoint! The 1/2 chicken is enough to feed two and came with two sides, choice of bread and soup or salad. The chopped barbecue chicken on a homemade roll was to die for. An article I read said that it had started to go downhill a few years ago, but that it was back in top form--it definitely was! Treat yourself to a trip down memory lane with a visit to Pann's. It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and will leave you craving more!
Good Coffee Shop near LAX

I like to drop in at Pann's for an early dinner. The fresh mashed potatoes, moist tasty meat loaf & fresh baked pies put me into a eating time warp. This isn't gourmet eating by any stretch but it makes me think of the old diners of my youth. I like Pann's & would recommend them to all.
- Pros: Old diner feel to it, mashed potatoes, moist meat loaf
- Cons: None to think of
Do resturants rate themselves?
by ecirp31 at Citysearch
This resturant might have been a "9.0" back in the day....but as of FEB 2005....the rate I would give it would be more like "0.9". The food (especially breakfast) is nothing to brag about. Besides, you'll need to get at least 7 cups of tired-tasting coffee to consider it "one" cup. I've lived in the area for over 20 years...and I do everything I can to NOT eat here.
- Pros: Not worth the wait
A Googie landmark serves up American classics with a TLC touch.

In Short
This classic coffee shop lies in the middle of an intersection, complete with Jetsons-like design. Golden oldies play in the clean and charming interior, which has been featured in movies like "XXX." Amicable staffers serve regulars, tourists and the occasional Hollywood star. Hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees are substantial, like Dreamburgers, mac and cheese and fried chicken platter. The old-fashioned root beer floats and malts still come in silver pitchers.
Not impressed

We walk by Pann's quite often, and the long lines made us eager to sample the Pann's experience. Unfortunately, we found Pann's to be a disappointingly standard diner, although the decor is truly funky, and the waitstaff was really friendly. Rich's pork dinner was adequate at best, with a limp salad served with a truly horrific institutional dressing, overcooked pork, and soggy vegetables. The chicken sausage accompanying Chris's eggs was burnt to a cinder, and his whole plate was very overpriced for what he got. On the plus side, we both really liked the biscuits.
- Pros: atmosphere, service
- Cons: food
