Worst Service EVER! Edward is a PREDATOR!
by live2work21 at Citysearch
I had the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant! The food was cold. The place was understaffed. Edward (the manager) was completely drunk and saying inappropriate things to young and UNDERAGE girls drinking in his bar. Edward was telling the underage girls that he "owns west hollywood" and can do "whatever he wants". He was telling the patrons he "pays off the sheriffs". Anyway, this place is a joke. Edward is a joke and should be arrested! He is the owners nephew, but claims he owns the place. The guy is a drug user and abuses his staff and customers. STAY AWAY!! THIS PLACE SHOULD GET SHUT DOWN!!! WEHO AUTHORITIES, ARE YOU LISTENING??
- Pros: None
- Cons: Everything!
THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERINCED EVER, FOOD WAS JUST OKAY. DO NOT GO HERE!
by cavalia at Citysearch
To anyone reading this please do not go here and support this awful establishment. I went here last night with some of my friends to celebrate a gf birthday and we were sooo disappointed. We waited for a long time before our waiter even approached our table. When we ordered the drinks we had to wait over 20 mins before my friend is like how long does it take to get a beer, when the restaurant was DEAD! She had to actually go up to the bar herself and get the beer because the waitress was so dumb. Then when we go our food, it was either undercooked, over cooked or just plain awful. The crunchy roll wasn't horrible but other then that it was gross! The waitress came up to our table and said do you have everything, and my friend said do we? She says I dont know DO YOU? With complete attitude and forgot a part of our order. When we finally wanted to cancel it we went through three people to get to our waitress to take it off the bill. When we got the bill the food we had cancelled was still on there. So FINALLY when she came back to the table to get the bill, she then spent 20 mins taking it off. Meanwhile a gf and I saw her inside with another employee with his arm around her and she was just staring back at us like we were on another planet, when we presisted that we were trying to make a concert. Was she just asking for NO TIP!?!?! Sorry I am rambling but I think you all need to know how awful and horribly run this place is. THERE IS NO REASON FOR ANYONE NOT TO GO TO BLOWFISH DOWN THE STREET.
- Cons: AWFUL SERVICE, BAD FOOD, DEAD
Saturday night HOTSPOT!
by kelbob at Citysearch
I disagree with the previous reviews, my friends and I went to Miyagi's last saturday night and we had a blast. We dined on the third floor, and loved the decor with music videos playing all night. The food was excellent, and they had us saki bombing all night! We loved it. Both the owner and the manager made an effort to come to our table, and the sushi was, in our opinion, better than Geisha House's. A must try!
WORST SERVICE EVER. WORST NIGHT EVER.

Worst service ever. I had to get up 5 times to find the waitress, including to pay the bill after she left the card at our table, finally. Seriously, we thought it was Candid Camera or some kind of joke. And, to top it off, THEY CHARGED THE CREDIT CARD TWICE, ONE AMOUNT HIGHER THAN THE OTHER. and ON TOP OF THAT, we had a $25.00 gift certificate which they DID NOT DEDUCT from the bill.
WORST DINNER OF OUR LIVES. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY REASON, STAY AWAY. Not to mention the tacky, tacky interior with electrical and speaker wires tacked all over the ceiling. This place is a bad joke.
- Pros: The food did not make us sick.
- Cons: This place is a bad joke, ripped off my credit card, no service, amazing it's alive.
College Frat Party Vibe
by lbh0618 at Citysearch
This place reminded me of every college night that I have ever been to. The guys were all just looking for a piece, and the girls....well, let's just say that they fit in too. The positive thinngs about the night were the cover (we said we were going to eat at the restaurant and didn't have to pay the cover charge) and the music was okay if you like booty music. Other than that, the place was very disappointing, and I'm not a snob. The sushi was okay, service was very slow and we were one of two tables, and the waitress managed to mess up our order--but she was cute and dressed the part so we forgave her. Other than that though, the place was not fun. The music was only booty music, the crowd was a bunch of people trying to re-live their mid-western college days (and this was a Saturday night), the drinks were watered down and over-priced. I won't be back and would not recommend this to my friends.
- Pros: cover, valet, location
- Cons: service, food, music, crowd
good birthday spot
by juju13es at Citysearch
Came here with a big party for a friend's birthday, and we had a good time. The sushi wasn't the best I've tasted (I have to say I'm pretty picky though), and the waiters were kind of slow with our orders, but overall, the place has a really good ambience- it had the whole Japanese bar/dance club feel. The dancefloor/bar on the third level is where we spent most our time...
- Pros: good ambience
- Cons: parking, crowded (but not bad)
All hype, not a lot of fun, bad sushi and service

I went here for a bday celebration on a Friday night. My friends and I are used to good service for big parties (20+ people), so we expected better than decent service at a "hotspot" in LA. We were disappointed. Our orders took long and some orders were incorrectly put in. The drinks were watered down and over priced beyond the normal club standard. We were expecting the upstairs bar to be happening, but was DEAD, on a Friday night. That is unacceptable. We had to pay to use one of their Vip rooms to get the party started. Having a vip room is what prevented me from giving this place a 0 instead of a 2.
- Pros: Hotspot, easy and good valet
- Cons: expensive, bad tasting food, slow service, over hyped

I had my birthday party here last year and my friends did a great job organizing the group ahead of time. We ate on the 2nd floor and danced on the 3rd. The food was decent but I wouldn't make a special trip down here just for their sushi. But with a large crowd, we had a blast and the prices were relatively reasonable.
- Pros: fun
- Cons: valet
Sunset Strip palace of sushi, sports, singing and singles.

In Short
With three floors of action, Miyagi's caters to every taste. Level one offers casual dining and big-screen TVs for the sushi-loving sports fan. Walk up to level two for a more intimate dining lounge with cozy booths and a fireplace. The overall look: Japanese garden meets contemporary dance club. Diners feast on sushi next to waterfalls and TVs playing videos, but after midnight the tables are gone and the Top 40-fueled dancing begins.
