Located in the heart of Melrose's boutiques and trendy teen stores, Golden Apple is a bookstore that matches that area's frenetic, ADD-vibe. Inside, you'll see a broad, albeit not always well-organized, array of comics and pop culture goodies to tempt your inner geek. Whether you're looking for a collection of "Uncle Scrooge" comics that you remember from your childhood, Archie comics for your tween niece, manga featuring the anime ninjas you love on Cartoon Network, or the latest X-Men graphic novels, you'll probably find it at Golden Apple. Sometimes the vibe is so heavily fan-boy, it can be hard to get help finding stuff from a staff that sometimes seems annoyed that you're distracting them from reading the latest issue of the Avengers. But, if you love comics, movies or toys, it's worth a visit.

Cons: A little disorganized, Fanboy atmosphere, Parking is scarce
